@@Smoothjaswi You're right, I had not considered jealousy or bitterness. I did consider altitude sickness causing someone to mistakenly cut the rope but that wouldn't be motive it would have been a mistake. From the very little information given, it seems like all it accomplished was forcing a Rescue Team to turn back which is basically tantamount to murder. It didn't stop these guys from summiting. I really hope this gets figured out.
