The archbishop has arguably one of the artistic and most well thought out character designs in a game I've seen. It's a human torso laying on its back, then folded in half at the chest. So the bones sticking out the top side and the first layer to crack open is the spine, and it's why the arms are faced weirdly and the heads upside down. The second set of bones to crack open and reveal the second part of the boss is the rib cage. It's unbelievablely creative and I caaaaant get over it
Santa Monica gave us a real gem and love letter! Taking a focus into Kratos' psyche after all the events from the Norse saga and beyond with some great interactions with the other characters like Tyr. He can finally find true acceptance in the past and hope in the future as the good God he has become in this awesome therapy session! Good luck and enjoy mastering thyself with Kratos
Hey, Mati!! A Greek here and I'm so happy to see you enjoying our culture 💙 Here's a Greek word that is fitting for this franchise: τραγωδία (tragodia) which means "tragedy"
I only just beat Radahn and I don't think I was breathing the entire last minute of the fight. My entire body was shaking from how much my heart was pounding and when I landed the killing blow I was screaming. What this boss does best is that it really makes you feel like you're fighting a god at the height of their power and defeating them is overcoming a challenge like no other. Well done righteous tarnished!
Please play Ghost of Tsushima after this DLC, it’s amazing. Plus they announced a new game in the series at the state of play on Tuesday so it would be the perfect time to play Tsushima before the new one comes out next year
What is so masterful about the hole riddle is - not only does it perfectly describe what is happening in Sindri's heart - but the moment Mimir brings it up, your mind turns to that part of the game. Kratos and his buddies on a fun field trip to forge a new weapon. Brok poking at Mimir and guffawing over the fact that he finally stumped the world's smartest person. It forces you to remember the good times - just like at a real funeral. In that moment, Brok stops being a character and becomes a real person in your mind. And that's why it makes me weep like a tiny baby every time.
I know people in here will be like get gud, but this game is very mid. I don't enjoy artificial difficulty and the lack of a reward like a shortcut or a bonfire for risking forward movement is unsatisfying. DS1/DS3 felt just right. This one seemed about as hard as those but not in the same ways... most of the deaths came from cheap deaths like dragon fire, hidden floating explosive thingies, rooms full of fast mobs, or dudes on the ceiling picking you off from afar. Like I felt a lot of times the designers were like HA HA, didn't see that one coming, did you? No, I guess I didn't? The enemies aren't nearly as interesting, so the tendency is to just rush past everything after you die a few times since they give you crap amounts of souls. If I was getting 50 a bad guy, sure, but 6? 6??? Also the Dragon God is super lame and the worst DS boss ever... it forces you to fight him in the exactly one way: the developer's way. There is no strategy other than run and hide and click a switch, etc etc. Bed of Chaos moved from my least favourite to 2nd to least favourite, lol. I am sure there is a lot of love for this game, and I will finish it soon, but I am not getting much satisfaction from the slog of every runback and certainly not from the atrocious bosses (Flamelurker was ok) Also forcing you to kill yourself after every boss to save black world tendency is serious stupid.
The phrase "Master thyself" represents greek morality, mindset and entire philosophy, specially considering that Kratos was raised as a spartan is no wonder that combat is his way of reflecting on his past actions
Hey do you like no replenishing health items, zero checkpoints, hallways full of dozens of enemies and bad boss designs with some built around hiding and pulling levers? Have I got a game for you. I beat Dark Souls 1 and 3 and loved them fyi. Magic run on this game is much more enjoyable I think. :) Also super fun to wipe a level and have like 316 souls for 30 min worth of work :D
From afar, I thought the red flowers were the blood of the huge dead dragon so I was surprised when I got there. The blue flowers field down to the bottom oh the abyss is a very cool area, one that left me a great impression. Thanks for sharing your journey!
Does he not know about transmong in this game yet? Upgrade one of your armors to max and change its appearance to anything else you have. I think it’s a huge thing you should know about. But I don’t think it really matters in the dlc.
I was definitely pushing for a 100% here but you hit the important bits. Thank you so much for all the work you put into these videos! I've never edited anything but everyone that has says it's awful haha! Thank you for sharing your playthrough and can't wait to see what's next! Great G'na fight too. First try!
The DLC hyped me a bit, but the gow123 pandering is mostly helios shit talking, i appreciate the standard enemies but there's no bosses... and a lot of kratos talking to mimir. Meh! It's nice to get it on pc, you go fight with all skills from the start.
Hey Mati! I hope you also gonna play Ascension, Chains of Olypmus and the Ghost of Sparta extentions of the story. They truly add a lot to the story. Thx for the journey. It’s been quite an enjoyable ride man!!!
I just noticed you changed the channel banner, i don't know how long it has been since you changed it but that's so nice! maybe one day a whole crowd will be sitting around the bonfire from all the games you play on the channel! It would be really nice if you add wander from shadow of the colossus too!
Matt if you read my comment. My favorite way building kratos in the dlc was going for the blades the triangle R-1-2 movements. You can build the fire power rapidly. Spear is also good. I always hated using the axe unless the moment forces me to use the axe.
