Just another of Winston Churchills failures. Silly buggers died in vain for a dying British empire. The Brits are still dying today in wars because of Winston Churchills failures. The British have no-shame, indeed.
Haha thank you grandpa for ur honesty .yea we have talent at aiming , I was not that good but my bro was almost a sniper in army. Anyway May Allah bless you rest in peace.
Bro as a turk. This is so sad. Ancac bros. My great grandfather died in Gelibolu. Probably buried with your great grandfather.. War is hell indeed. But we always will have respect for you. Not for the greeks, russians, italians, english. Just for you. You guys were real gentilmen, even in war. With love from Turkey
The only resim turks had to shoot the target was because they did not have enough bulets once they were out they had to use there bayonet and fight agins bullets
I find it very sad that everyone still has tension over a war 100 years a go. No matter where you are from or who you are, ww1 was horrible to everyone. You can argue a victory if you consider 10 million deaths if you wish. I feel so much sympathy for not only the anzacs, but all of the countries... Russia, Germany, ottomans, England, etc. they All had their fair share of sadness and horror. Deepest sympathy for everyone who was effected by this war.
gentlemens war definitely ! even if war is something bad at least we fought against decent brave men of honor look who we are fighting against now islamist extremist isis cunts and communist pkk-pyd ffs

Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger Allow me to enlighten you. You need to read your history books. ANZAC is about the Australians and The New Zealanders, not the British. The ANZACs were defeated at Gallipoli. Yet, from then on, it was a different story. The Australian Light Horse completely turned back the Turkish army in Palestine just short of the Suez. The Turks were numerically superior by about a ratio of about 3 to 1. From then on, we chased the Turks through Palestine while they were retreating. We took Beersheba from the Turks in what was the world's last ever Cavalry charge. The Australians had their bayonets unfixed and in their hands, using them as sabres, as they rode straight into the Turkish gunfire to take Beersheba. From then on we routed the Turks all the way across the Sinai and right up to Damascus. Just beofre entering Damascus the Turks experienced one of the bloodiest defeats of the war while they were retreating. Then the Australians took and occupied Damascus while the Turks retreated to their borders, never to stray from them again. So, contrary to your assertions, after their defeat at Gallipoli, the Australians routed the Turks in Palestine at every turn, and eventually were the caused the downfall of The Ottoman Empire. Please try and make sure your historically biased list separates the Australians from the British. They may have suffered huge defeats, but The Australians defeated and finished Ottoman Empire, which I reckon more than makes up for the defeat at ANZAC. And as the Americans say, "payback is a bitch" . . . . . .
So, the Ottoman Empire crumbled due to their defeat in WW1. We all agree with this, OK? So, let's examine this a little closer . . . Australian troops completely and utterly defeated Ottoman troops in Palestine and took Damascus. This broke up their empire in the Middle East, and caused the foundation of the new republic by Ataturk, who was successful as he was the only Turkish Commander to defeat the Australians. So . . . Ottoman troops withdraw from Empire outposts due to defeat by Australians. Ottoman Empire outposts occupied by Australian troops. Ottoman troops withdraw to within their borders, thus surrendering their Empire. Ataturk founds a new republic and Ottoman Empire is no more. All this due to Ottoman defeat at the hands of Australians. I'll let you do the logical constructions here. Me? I rest my case . . .
Jack Dog Productions " So, the Ottoman Empire crumbled due to their defeat in WW1. We all agree with this, OK?" Absolutely not. it took hundred years for Ottoman Empire to decline and collapse. All systems of Ottoman Empire were corrupted and unable to exercise from 200 years before their collapsing. Even if WW1 wouldn't have happened Ottoman Empire would divide. So calling an already destroyed empire "Australians destroyed it" is so lame. Coz it took hundreds of wars and years for Ottoman Empire to get destroyed, 1-2 defeat at the hands of Australians is not the only reason, is not even 0.1% of total reasons.
MAybe at that time. But you have to respect the times when the black sea and mediterranean sea basically were turkish lakes, surrounded by turkish territories on 3 continents.
