This seems simple but in reality many of the parts do not route. It is still an amazing tool when working properly. What I was looking for is how to clear all existing routing in order to re-route again. Running complete re-route of our panel was not clearing out some of the connections that no longer existed.
I do not have your project in hand, maybe you can share with the ESC with your support colleagues. M=In my experience, routed wires are easy to find in the Connections Navigator with a default filter (3D connections) which clearly shows all routed wires. Maybe some from a previous run of routing, which you can always delete and re-route. This seems to always work fine for me. The parts in my panel always route when a path is available. When the part does not route, one of the corresponding DT source and target connection point is missing in the 3D layout. A wire connects to a DT:<connection point> like CR123:A1. I help you directly in this channel, but colleagues certainly can locally. Please get in contact with them directly.
Hi. At minute 3:51 you explain how to set "cross references", sorry, but I do not like this way. I prefer the cross reference to be the connection terminals, in your video, on one side should appear "CB2 29-2" "CB2 29-4" "CB2 29-6" instead of IL1, IL2, IL3. On the other side, similar references. Is it possible? Thanks for the video and your help
You may display what is connected on the other side. The cross reference as a number is typical NFPA' a row which includes the page and row. The naming 1L1, 1L2 is simply for better understanding of the signal. This is in particular nice when your a few pages down. Yet I understand why you also prefer the connection for the wiring. Have you look at my last videos talking about Smart Wiring? You see an even better and more efficient way to help fabricating and wiring your panels. By rethinking the classic methods we get you save over 33% of your delivery time. But to answer your question, it is possible in EPLAN to display the target of where the connection is going (connecting to).
Hello Mr. Younk, thanks so much for the video Customized Ribbons that you created last year. I saw your video and liked so much. This is very useful, but I think to become something still more automatic if is possible. My idea is to create a customized ribbon to insert a specific connection point that already comes with pre-defined cross section value, color value, linetype and color of the linetype all of this in just one new icon created by customized ribbon, it means, all in one. Do you understand my intention/ idea? Do you know if is this possible? If yes, could you create a video about this idea.
Roland, I tried to connect a M12 sensor cable between to components in a single line representation. I can see the source and target but both panes are empty. Can you help out?
Roland I tried to follow this but when I use the ConnectionPoint Definition Tool and do what you do I see no connections in the Interconnected devices tab.
First of all thank you very much for sharing. I have a problem that has arisen recently, so far I have created reports without problems but now they have disappeared from all projects. I don't understand what happens, when I click generate I see all the pages in reports but they don't appear in the project. What do you think can happen? Thank you very much again
Thé reports can be generated in a separate project. Ie your terminal and cable reports are generated in a parallel projet you make available to only your production people. Call your eplan support they will help uou

Dear Mr. Roland, Could you please show an example of creating/generating model views in a cogineer target project? If we need to generate two different panels (in two layout space) based on condition, how can we do that?
Sorry it would be easier to just ask your support team to assist you here. Who is responsible in your area? Technically Cogineer calls up macros, I personally have been working with the same panel in my layout so far.
OMG! This so complicated! I suppose this is German software. They like to make thing overcomplicated. Can you suggest simple software to just draw schematic on one page (quick and easy)?
In my career I have never seen a one page schematic for my controls, the smallest project I saw had 48 pages, when I have to handle these 48 pages, plus BOM, plus wiriing list, plus terminal diagrams, plus layout I had over 75 pages and I would have loved to have EPLAN. 75 files to handle individually is tidious. If you only need a graphical editor for 1 page, then use simple tool like draftsight.
Hi! When i export into Smart Wire i get error message that "the file does not contain graphic information on 3D Routing connections" looking at the 3D model, we have routing points and paths, so unsure on why this is coming up and not allowing smart wire to open, have you ever encountered this? Thanks for all of your videos they've been massively helpful in my EPLAN use
This is project related, all I can say here is to use our EPLAN Solution Center, create a support request directly within yoru EPLAN Propanel and upload a zw1 backup of yoru project. Our team will take a deep dive and figure out what it might be. I have not had this issue so far. Sorry I could not be of any help.
This is not necessarily my personal choice, the roots are either IEC or NFPA. In my case I have a great history with NFPA. No doubts you are certainly right, but here in my area, people like this way. Sorry. I leave the other direction to other colleagues...

Run the master data - synchronize system master data. You should find it one of the options you installed, I believe it is attached to the platform data.
Make sure your surfaces have been defined pRoperly. Check with your EPLAN Propanel trainer, he probably explained it during the ProPanel basic training

As you may know the default plot frame is either defined in your project or in your form. When nothing is defined in the form, then the project plot frame is being used. This is my preferred way of working. I do not fully understand your statement.. > I need each report page generated to come with my previously created plot frame.>
Just insert a new model view with that side view. Make it your page macro that serves your automatic generation. If this explanation is not understood, just call your EPLAN expert, they can spend some consulting time with you to understand the meaning of that page macro and that model view I explained. Sorry I only have a few lines to answer in RU-vid.
why the program telling me to "You are not signed in to the EPLAN Cloud. Please restart the EPLAN Platform to sign in." even when I signed in from browser

I made a BOM report form. But it can generate maximum 28 rows. So, if I have more than 28 items I can not see the items/parts from the 29th number. Can anyone please help me how to solve this issue? Thank you
