The Anuket Emerald was reported unreported in the Gulf of Guinea from Guinea, last known position 05.50N 001.14E at approximately 1800 UTC on 18 August 2012, near the Ghanaian maritime border. The AIS signal disappeared from several AIS websites at the same time. The ship was identified as All ships in this area are requested to search for the ship and report if tanker is sighted. The ship was en route from Cotonou, Benin, to Lome offshore facilities. The crew consisted of 18 people of Russian and Filipino nationality. Norbulk current press release: At 2048 (UK time) on 08/23/2012 Norbulk received a satellite message from the ship Anuket Emerald. Subsequent verbal correspondence between the ship's Captain and Norbulk operations staff confirmed that all 18 people on board were safe and well.😉
