that is not what I call impressive. What purpose does a collapsible shipping container have other than when a ship is empty? when you say 4fold I thought you were talking about an expandable shipping container, not compact one.

One application might be for remote area use (mining camps, etc) where multiple empties can be removed on a single truck, leaving other trucks empty to haul product. For general cargo use - not practical. Nice idea, but it seems like a solution looking for a problem.

How much interior volume is lost to the folding function? Many manufacturers design packaging with standard interior dimensions in mind. Too much loss of overall usability in my opinion.
MtrePierre I'm guessing you don't know much about the shipping industry. These containers will make it possible for a return trip back overseas. Most shipping and imports are only one way. Shipping back empty containers is just a huge waste. So if you can ship these back in their compact form it will save millions in materials and cost of making news ones just for a one time trip.
+Aztec Warrior Don't have to be well versed in the industry to see that it's nice conceptually but wouldn't work logistically or be practical. Would be good for certain niche markets/uses but not so much for general shipping/transport.
