I agree with almost everything but I would also include the factor that the MK3 is almost DOUBLE the cost of the Omnia Pro. (currently MK3 is $130 and Omnia Pro is $90)
@@kingofgames234 holy moly Wait wait wait wait what! I just got redirected to the Target website that's where I got those prices from! Thank you for the heads up I will go look now.
@@Kannolias hey I’ll be announcing it later but I had to fly out to California to run the first ever Armageddon competitive tournament. I’m sorry, that cut me off from finishing the video. It’s 3/4 done with it. When I get back on Tuesday I’ll make it my number 1 priority to finish the “rier” video
This thing is still a monster compared to other stuff on the market and they somehow go for $15 now. A little spring spacer and it does 250 fps all day long with a reasonable prime.
Id argue that the issue is more of a Mag issue rather than a blaster issue. The blaster is made to work with worker Talon magazines and not necessarily Koda or Tachi mags as their feed lips are shaped differently. Plus I don’t think that Kodas are really necessary on a Springer. 15 Rd talons with or without an extension are more than enough in my experience
I might have been on board with that logic if the worker harrier didn’t exist… but it does and doesn’t suffer at all from this issue. Kodas are not necessary in casual play, that’s true. But pretty much every competitive team in the US has at least one set of kodas on their team with many having only kodas. It’s the durability of kodas that make them so appealing to comp players. And many tournaments divide ammo in sets of 20 darts so it’s easier to count. Plus although the spring strength is not necessary for a springer, if you have teammates running fly wheels or AEGs … you want to run max compatibility in case they need mags from you.
@@Seththenerfer yeah the harrier works perfectly with both kodas and tachis. That’s part of why I chose to do the cut down harrier mod for Maryland mayhem tournament instead . Got a build guide I’m currently working on for that and in it I explain more of why I did that. But kodas contributed
@@Acryodite not that I know of . When I say “directly from worker” what I mean is that it’s a first party up grade. I should have worded that differently.
@@kingofgames234also have you herd of Brooklyn Tony’s flywheeler there’s not hardware kits for it but it looks promising also it’s hardware is pretty cheap it only needs inserts and electronics. You should check it out

Great video 👍 You’re the first person I’ve seen mention the Koda mag problem and thanks for that because I’ve been looking into getting a seagull myself, and that’s something I should definitely consider. Also, do mags gravity drop when the mag release is pushed down? Or do you have to rip it out like on the dart zone short dart adapters?
Thank you! Mags do not gravity drop. But it’s not because of the mag well. The skinny part of the vanguard pusher hold onto the feed lips. Something that is true for all blasters with the vanguard pusher. To mitigate the resistance I slightly sand all my talon mags feed lips. It’s nowhere near as much resistance as a dartzone blaster though
Thanks for the video. I’m having the same O ring issues with the seagull. Could you share what O ring size I should get, or a supplier that sells them?
Interesting compatibility issue. I've never run into it because I have a few dozen Talons in my arsenal and I don't think I've ever even tried to use the lone Koda in my stash with the Seagull.
I test all the mags I own with pretty much every blaster I review but also my entire team uses kodas . So I had thought about switching to this blaster from the Val M so I can share mags with my team. My usual primary uses reverse angled talon mags 😭
I've seen folks get the seagull up to 300 fps using a few sabre parts, the 1.6x300 spring and a spacer I think? I think there's also a hole in the plunger tube that can be sealed as well. Good luck!
Unfortunately, They are not using standard 1g darts to get those numbers. I’ve already gone through those combinations . It takes 1.8 cut swift springs to get that out of this blaster. And the prime is god awful at that. Also, I would advise against covering that hole as it actually provides a small amount of acceleration at the beginning of the stroke, releasing the plunger rod. And it can mess with your blaster at lower FPS
My only complaint was the slickness of the stock so I replaced it with a Worker buffer tube stock. Like many, I only use Worker Talon mags and the one Seagull mag with this blaster so I've not experienced the o ring issue. I do wish Worker would release an Orange magazine (Dragon Claw) for this blaster but I reached out to them and they said they had no plans to do so.
That not surprising, the orange was a special order just for OOD and they didn’t start making the matching mag colors til after those were available iirc. But I agree that would be cool. Luckily the 18 rounders come in orange anyway!
I put the xyl unicorn frontgrip on it and a better buffertube stock. The stock buttstock is not comfortable for people with long arms The iron sights are fantastic. Put a worker 8° Bcar on it for almost perfect accuracy.
@@melntess yeah I think I’m one of the few that prefers a super low height over bore. Most people would prefer your set up. On my Lynx I actually ran a set of risers under the iron sights to get the up where I wanted them. I actually use a $50 red dot WITH my irons inside the window on my comp set up. I might post about it later if people are interested
@@kingofgames234 that's how I had mine, co witnessing on the irons. Then I realized that I'd rather just shoot blind if my sight battery died than use the irons. 😂
@@melntess oh I see what you mean. But I actually have my irons for one distance and my optic set for a much further distance… I use them simultaneously. Depending on how far or close my target is.
As someone who’s done the Koda compatibility mods, it’s really not that difficult to do and totally worth it if you have the tools. The seagull is still one of my favorite blasters and I get a lot of use out of mine
Thanks! Just to clarify, I didn’t mod it. The blaster that I teased at the end of the video about 18:31 is not a seagull, it’s a harrier that I modded to be as small as a seagull but significantly more powerful.
@@Greenbeancan maybe we will play together there sometime! I have a whole series dedicated to to traveling for nerf, new episodes dropping soon . But I take requests on destinations for future videos
Thanks 🙏 glad you vibe with my sense of humor! Check out some of my older videos if you like this one and make sure to subscribe, I got another one dropping this weekend
@@Acryodite yes, you can. The blaster itself has a picatinny rail stock attachment point (just like the momentum) and the pdw style stock I have on mine attaches to that. So you would just need to source a Picatinny to buffer tube attachment.
