That was my mother and many of the mothers we saw as children growing up. It was a blessing then and is one now to see her at 98 where I can do for her some of the things she did for me.

This is my second favorite Frankie Beverly & Maze song. It's one of those songs that hits you deep down in your soul. It's the one I play when I'm in my kitchen cooking while sipping on a glass of Crown Royal and Coke. I am truly missing Frankie already. I know he gave us all he could until he couldn't, so i will keep listening to his music until I can't. We honored Frankie in the only way we knew how to do in New Orleans, wearing white for days and giving him the biggest Farewell Secondline I've ever seen here in New Orleans, Louisiana.
