Miami wins the ACC Championship over Clemson. Goes 12-0 in the season with wins over FSU and UF. Miami will beat UF primarily because UF's offense is subpar, average at best. Miami will beat FSU simply because they will be 7-0, night game, college gameday, old Miami alums on the sideline, etc ... 13-0 heading into the playoffs. They will lose in the playoffs early, unless they play Utah (BIG 12 Champ).
RUN GMC was such a dude with Chadwell and then just not the same under Tim Beck / Trickett .. in fairness though they did lose legit studs and also coaches reallllly do matter and Tim Beck's offense at NC ST (really their run game) kept NC State from capping an EPIC journey from like #100 in '19 to making at least one, maybe two conf championship games, and I think they woulda beat Pitt in '21 if the run game wasnt so horrible and in '22 offense somehow regressed at every level and no reason the run game shoulda been that bad .... and to my SHOCK Chadwell shows up and turns Salter from a TOTAL hit and miss turnover machine under Freeze into an actual G5 heisman contender and while it's CUSA competition there was nothing fake about what they were doing there or at Coastal that guy and his assistants are the real deal .. Lot of questions for Anae I was surprised they couldn't get the UVA magic back last year but they realllly didn't have much to throw at either .. fortunate to have FR Conception .. Rozner was a big disappointment, not ready for the big time .. but like Chadwell we know what Anae can do too his record turning offenses around is truly epic .. GMC is an ultimate competitor and they have the weapons this yr .. i'd put less stock in the Spring gm lotta the D was out but the dude couldn't have looked like a better fit .. I hit em 12-1 for the ACC after seeing the first quarter it was pretty clear that wasn't gunna be around long lol ..
I dont think arizona wins the conference or even plays in the CCG. I think they will be one of the better teams in the conference, but I just dont see them winning it. I would say the Utah OkSt game will be a preview for the CCG this season. That's the game I have circled on my calendar as a Utah fan, especially with it being in stillwater
You guys need to do your home work before predicting teams. TN has the most depth ever and has many outstanding defensive players. Maybe listen to other channels most has TN the best DL.
The amount of returning starters on defense is incredible. If the offensive line is good, like real good. They’re easily 11-1. It’s all about protecting Cade. Personally I’d rather they start Sullivan and I’m a Cade fan. 🤷♂️
Kobe Hudson, Xavier Williams, and newcomer Auburn transfer Ja'Varrius Johnson I think will impress. We have some solid backups to sub in. Randy Pittman the TE will see a lot of passes too I'm thinking.
Florida will win 9 games at least, the schedule is not what yall are making it out to be,FSU and LSU lost their best production,Ole Miss transfer portal team is overrated,Texas A&M first year head coach,Miami and UCF won 6 games in two bad conferences and Tennessee has beat us twice the last 15 years, the schedule is not what you think it is.
Michigan has been planning using Jaishawn Barham a lot as an Edge/pass rusher. Apparently he has put on 20 lbs of muscle and is gonna be an absolute stud.
Great analysis! I think the nation will be tuned in on draft night to hear Wohler’s name called early. I do think there is too much blame on the receiving core considering questionable and injured quarterback play last year. Wisconsin also got a glimpse of RS Freshman Trech in the bowl game who looks like the slot guy across from Will Pauling, one of the best slot receivers in the BIG10. Definitely a great secondary, but a group that should be highlighted more is the Linebacker core on this team. Bringing in multiple seasoned transfers like Pius and having Chaney lead the way, this group could be the brightest spot on the defense. I also think Tackett Curtis will turn some heads for Wisconsin, and he may not even start. Incredibly deep Linebacker Room. The question mark should be the Defensive line. Some of those linebackers will play on the edge, but there’s a huge question mark with how the interior will hold up. Lastly, Tawee Walker is undoubtedly going to be a huge impact on offense. With Chez’s health being inconsistent during the season, Tawee is bound to step up. The 1a, 1b running back model is going to be in full effect behind an above average offensive line. Hopefully this opens up the playbook for the Longo air raid that TVD can embrace and find those NFL talent throws that we have seen him make. Ceiling is most likely 9-3 with bama/iowa, Penn State and Oregon losses Floor I’ll say 6-6.
Part of the drop off was from Jeff Brohm building the team up for his last year but knew he had nothing past that year and that’s why he jumped ship to his alma mater. Yes he left for his old school but he left when he did because he knew the team wouldn’t be great
“Surprise people and win 7 or 8 games” might be the most ignorant quote I’ve ever heard. The last time we won less than 7 was 2005. Our over/under win total is 8.5.
Greene has done major work to improve his short to intermediate accuracy but has also worked on refining his deep ball, especially throwing guys open. Tyler Allen is going to be an exceptional QB coach, and I hope we can keep him around a while.
Burks has moved to Spear...but still lots of talent at CB and Safety. However, linebackers will be key. The talent level there is exceptional, guys who can cover better and will make the right run fits.
Sean Martin played all of last year with an illness that threatened to end his career and still got pressure. Bartlett was mediocre with a few good spurts. Bradley and French will both shine this year, and TJ Jackson will get a lot of pressure off the line.
I’m pretty sure they lead the B12 in sacks last year. I also don’t think you can’t judge this defense’s ability to get after the QB on individual stats because they run a simulated pressure system. Bartlett transferred because he was going to be passed on the depth chart by Bradley and French. Lathan was hurt in game 5, he will be one of the conference leaders for QB pressures. The only player of significance they lost to the portal was Durojaiye. I would’ve liked to keep Lockhart, but he was also losing a lot snaps to guys behind him.
Sacks were mostly from LBs and Spear, so those who just look at the D line and Spur are misled. However, they did have issues letting QBs get out of the pocket at times. Think that will be corrected this year.
Pass rush actually got better throughout the year. We brought in Victor Cabral. We brought in transfer Ty French. We’ll be good on Defense top to bottom
There are teams in the Big 10 that have to play Penn State and nobody is saying " Oh your team is only going to win 6 games because you have to play Penn State." Excuse me but Penn State is not Alabama!!! WVU has the talent to beat Penn State. Penn State is the slitely above average team of the Big 10. No better.
Big 12 Championship, too many offseason moves, RB room will be biggest surprise because new O line will control line of scrimmage, D line will be improved big time. Big 12 is average to mediocre, no D in Big 12 can stop CU offense, great analysis
These guys did a pretty poor job of digging in to TCU. Claiming they didn’t do anything to address their defensive problem and not even mentioning the fact they fired their defensive coordinator for Andy Avalos, changes the scheme, and added out of the portal defensive starters from Utah, Cal, and Tulane’s best pass rusher. Some fairly lazy effort
Utah is the 2nd most talented roster in the Big12 per 247 composite rankings, behind TCU. It has Rising and Kuithe. It is the most talented team in the league.
@aarontracy5160 sportswriters. That's an interesting thought. I think a bum off the street can get it rite over sportswriters. They tend to believe in themselves. I have no serious issues with utah being 1 or 2. Ksu lost a serious amount of players. They lost a really good group of defense guys 2 years ago and were picked 2nd. That defense keeps getting thinner. But, utah still has ti keep guys healthy
