@@tsnfishing3784 Sound bud , can that rod handle pike alright? What baitcasting setup were you using there also, Never even tried one before but you seem to be able to launch the lures and pull the pike in fairly handy
@@kodiwtf its a great little rod for small baits for pike and perch...and i caught a near 20lb pike on a rod the same weight so they can handle big fish once you play them right...baitcaster are much better for big lures and a bit more but spinning rods are still the most reliable 🎣👊
I’ve just got a Abu Garcia revo beast x 40Lp and matching rod to go with it heavy set up for pike 50g to 200 cast weight I’m using it for the first time this week end also first time ever using a baitcaster very excited 😛
@@JamieWatt-v7w oh yeah...qorking on a few videos...ive just been busy working or really tired so only juat now getting back into...i should have a video out tomz 👊🎣

@@tsnfishing3784 Abu Garcia Beast Casting Fishing Rod (X-Extra-Heavy-259m-50-200g) this the rod I’m going for if any one could help me pair it with a decent reel I’d much appreciate it 😂sorry for bugging you fir help
I'm changing my fly line from Rio to airflo and I'm thinking that's going to help me cast further I'm getting the power taper, I'm in Iowa and I fly fish for a large bass and I use big poppers, does the quality of your fly rod and reel in line matter in close quarters for fish not really but if you really love your sport you might as well buy high-quality because yes you will know the difference, I have a Ross animus which puts me at 400 for the real then I have the Orvis frequent flyer 7 piece Rod let's put me at 400 and then you got your airflow line which puts me at $130 in total my rod cost me a total of 930.00 but since I am in love with this sport I bought what I could afford as the best Rod I can get for my budget and I will have this rod for a very long time, have fun and catch fish
@@JasonReilich fair bit of money for 1 combo but yeah cant beat it...i was acc told airflo line isnt as good as rio but i wouldnt know at all...but hopfully it all goes well fro u lad...good luck with the bass fishing 👊🎣
@tsnfishing3784 you too Buddy, this will be my first time with airflo, I got it for free from work so I got nothing to lose, if I dislike I will go back to what I know, keep on fishing and catch those fish
Love channel lad, that's how me and my mates go fishing, pure carnage, catch fish and something expensive always ends up in the water!! *Pro Tip - always bring a Pennys 5xpack of socks, saves lives*
