These films are fantastic regarding Kevin Hicks. I have seen a couple of him, giving talks and the art of using the weapon from people that have filmed him . I have only just discovered his channel, so it was interesting to see the younger man. I started to get fascinated by the Long Bow. His name popped up and i was hooked by his story telling / skill and his funny way of telling them. He can sometimes be quite intense which is another great trait. He also has a fair amount of acting talent. If you watch his channel you will know what i mean. Thanks for sharing this.
If you'd like to see more from Kevin Hicks, I discovered that he recently started his own youtube channel, called thehistorysquad. ru-vid.comvideos Lots of great content there.
Wonderful, Kevin changed my life! being an archer reenactor with the 'little Saxon' as he called my son. Good luck to you fella wherever you are now. ,
I think, in the(ire) old days, they where not stupid. They had several techniquis. Depending on the target / purpose. We (also) must be able to compete with the FITA shooters..
The website listed is dead, maybe you can explain what we were meant to find out there in the video and spare us having to dig or hunt the man down individually, or just in the description?
I strongly recommend. I bought mine from a local bowier - 42lb draw and 75€, 100% local handywork. So awesome and 42lb is a good starter bow, Even though real starter longbows were around 70lb
Fanbloodytastic ! Shooting an English long bow has been on my bucket list for a while. Just because of my northumbrian lineage. Thank you for this upload.
Longbow "men" oh wait.....I cannot speak that way. It was a LongBowPeople..also cheer about your country's invasion. You are an Islamic country now...Hicks would be very disappointed. Fucking zeroes, you gave away your country. What will you tell your children when they ask you about the takeover? "Well, my son I was NOT a racist". Well done...you degenerates.
I saw the bowman at Warwick castle. He was cool as fuck. Even got a kid to stand in front of the target and drew the bow fully while aiming at the wee man. Thought he was gonna shit his pants.
He didn't hit the head with the first arrow he shot at it, look at the amount of arrows in his belt before the shot and the amount he has after the shot.
@stevemarce1988 The bow they made him at Warwick.......not the one he is shooting here was 90# and over 7 feet long. He still has it now. We talk regularly about longbows as I'm having another one made for me. Kev is a great guy! Dave.
@@loganreece3263 Wow, i mean i know thats the "starting weight" for a warbow (70lbs-180lbs or so) butdamn, it's pretty hard to shot this well with a "lighter weight" warbow aswell. actually it's impressive regardless of draw weight. :O
