Not sure how usable this would be in a speedrun, but if you alternate pressing up on the control stick and the d pad, you can do a sort of waddle that can be slightly faster over normal movement if timed correctly, but it has to be timed correctly in order to get the right rhythm and optimal speed.

After HHA, the second you recover you can call 4taro assist while dashing towards the opponent. The assist will hit them while they are under the HHA effects which allows you to jump in and combo
I think its just completely impossible to not take damage against bosses even if you had the trigger button mapped to a turbo controller. I've definitely tried and i still took damage against bosses. In a sense having a no damage run is pretty impossible to achieve. Then again its been a while since i mapped the gun trigger to a turbo button, last time i sorta had a turbo button i was playing this through EmuVR so i could use my Oculus Touch controllers as light guns. Edit because of things i'm noticing: I didn't know you could get Krampus bones to show if you shoot his legs enough. Also didn't know you could reveal the Flapjack's neck bone if you shoot them enough! Wait you can shoot the mime's arms off? Never saw Tökentäkker spine before, i didn't even know that was in there if the difficulty was set to very hard.
It's so weird to see Brando so low in the tier list when he was without a doubt the best character in the original ASB. Also as a Kars main, yeah base/light mode (even with the nerfs to loops) is better than Ultimate mode. It's weird because I don't really know what they could do to make Ultimate more enticing, it has big damage, the nice unblockable normal, good anti-air, etc. It's not like Ultimate is awful or even mediocre. Just losing the blade dash and teleport feels so crippling to the character.
Jolyne isnt bad at all. Great over heads n easy combos. Her gha n hha are good to. Also her cross up mix ups are goood. With her spiderman ability she can cross up fast.
Father Pucchi and Funny Valentine should be A tier. Father Pucchi ability to just steal your powers is op asf. Especially in the hands of someone who knows how to play. Funny is pretty strong dont know enough about the character but noticed more folks using him. He has great combos in that dive kick is good..
I started off playing Mariah since I play her in hftf I wish she did more damage but with the way her specials track that would be a crazy character. She's good at zoning but her zoning is pretty bad at the same time
