It could be, however as its transparent paint employing it on an entirely opaque base would negate its intended effect. There are far less expensive and far superior options I would use on canvas than this particular product.
Clever use of other tops on other products. Thanks for the tip. Also, I found that even if you don't cut the tip the cap doesn't seem to seal up with the lid. I've used a piece of glad wrap before putting the cap on and it seems to help. Like the idea of tape now better. Thanks.
Very good info and demonstrations. Thanks. Is there a way to kind of dilute the leading ifs it a little too thick? I have transportation problems or I’d just buy new bottle. Thanks.
I have never tried it, but theoretically you could dilute with water (very small amount), as it is a water-based paint. You'd have to get it out of the bottle to do that though. Add just a very small amount of water, stirring carefully until well mixed. Then you'd have to put back into the bottle. I would recommend you test this with a small amount first.Keep in mind that you can add more water, but once it's mixed in, if you add too much you lose the consistency you need in the paint - so use caution and only a very small amount of water. To be honest, I would try pouring the paint into a container and stirring it up to thin the consistency without adding any water as the stirring motion can often thin paint without adding any liquid. But again, this would have to be done in a different container to achieve the stirring and then returned to the bottle. I'm sure you're trying to improve a bottle you already have but another option for future consideration is to use a different brand of paint that has a smoother consistency - Pebeo is a good one.
