My buddy is a sheriff in the keys and he said that if you catch any snakehead you should kill them as they are invasive and kill off a lot of other fish populations. Also if your back in jersey you should definitely hit up south jersey in areas around egg harbor city and surrounding areas. There is alot of monsters due to so many lakes being unreachable to foot traffic and the best fishing from kayaks. Beware of the absolutely monster pickerel down here though all that swampy mess makes them MASSIVE!

Has nothing to do with owning the water otherwise you'd only have the right to float on the water and never stand in the water due to private property. The water has a right-of-way and the public owns that right-of-way and is public access to the high water line.
