What is your way of viewing real time tyre temps when driving the W13 in iRacing? I know this isn't supported with external displays but is there something I'm missing?
Yeah I just meant that when I'm driving the W13 I like to page through to the warm up display to sometimes check my real time tyre temps. I was wondering what you do for this because the wheel can't display this info. Do you run iRacing's in-sim display as well as using the physical display on your wheel?
thanks for the vid! I have my Mayaris 2 arriving tomorrow wondering is you have some good set up profiles or tips on setting it up. I want keep it simple just iracing, acc and LMU. Love to just pop in any of your profile settings, I don't have any specials layouts i want to use, was gonna use DNR for all the led's other than that I'm new to formula, oh and I'm old and can barely use a computer, lol but not really!. Thanks! Matt
I have a very old wheel so my throttle and brake are buttons instead of axis and assetto Corsa doesn't allow me to let the throttle and brake be buttons. Is there a way to avoid that?
Try setting is up as a game controller instead of a wheel. If you are trying to use a button as an axis, that won’t work. But, maybe if you try setting it up as a controller, it will work like old video games
@@RacingSimSupport Sent again with a different title. In case that doesnt work, I upload it to YT. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MeukCsDrsiA.html Thanksss
@@RacingSimSupport I watched the clutch bite point one :), so not quite launch control. But it doesn't matter. The Mayaris 2 is the most complete wheel for me!
😅..!!! 🤷🏽♂️ *Duuudddeee..???* 🤷🏽♂️ That was like seventeen (17) minutes of a single title before the good content started..!!! 🤣😂🤣 The suspence was killing me..!!! 👍🏽💯👌🏾😎
@@RacingSimSupport I see you still race with the Miata. I do the same. I still find slower cars more pleasant to drive than gt3, etc. Maybe I'm not good enough yet to drive those faster cars. What I don't like in iracing is the philosophy of: if you drive safer (SR) you have to go faster (irating). In my experience only A and B races are safe enough but currently license B and A only feature faster cars. And in my experience it's difficult to race slower cars safely if your irating is less than ~1.6k. The MX-5 advanced is not that advanced (license C). I see you have a good IR so I guess you don't have that problem so often. But how do you keep yourself motivated? Do you race in any league?
@@federicocl3164 I went back to the MX5 a few months ago and I think it's the best racing experience I've had since I started sim racing. The motivation part can be really difficult, more so lately, but I still manage to get on every day. I haven't been in the right mind set to race officials every week, so now I am focusing on the special events. We will be running the 24 Hours of Nurburgring in May. I never felt comfortable in a GT3 car until I started running Ferrari Challenge in iRacing. But, without a doubt, the MX5 is my favorite series for competing.
Save Start Point for Corner Practice was worth the WHOLE PRICE OF ADMISSION on this video.. Currently working on Turns "Brundle & Nelson" on Snetterton.. That section of track when my blood is up, gets me out of a competitive race EVERYTIME!! Not anymore though. I've since dialed it in, and I make up more time on that section of track then in any other. I have this channel to thank for this!
@@RacingSimSupport what QR adapter do ya use/would recommend? Running an alpha mini as of now so know any NRG style should fit the bill (though not like power or data can come from the wheelbase which is fine)
That is why I don't join and race on IRacing online. Everyone probably has thousands of dollars tied up in Racing Rigs, computers, and accessories, where I have just a basic Wheel controller, pedals, mounted to a desk and sit in a regular chair. Works for me.. Plus I don't want to pay the subscription pricing to race online. And do not have the dedicated time anymore to make it worth the money spent. I will just enjoy my other STEAM racing games for entertainment purposes. I used to race allot in 3 private leagues online many years ago doing "Nascar Racing 2003" on FREE Sierra Servers, then IRacing came along and the Sierra Servers were closed down for several reasons. So online racing is nothing new to me. Thanks for the video. Take care.
To each their own, I would like to share though, I have a basic G29 setup, with one of those "Next Level" Tube and Fabric racing mount seat. Total spent under 700 Wheel, Shifter, pedals, Chair all of it. While my rig is nowhere near the types that we see on this channel or other streamers, I tell you this, I'm as competitive as the next guy, and I have as much fun as the guy that spent 80,000 on his Rig. The barrier to entry has come down so much in the last few years since covid. As SIM gets more and more popular i expect it to come down even more. A full second hand set could get you out the door under 300. Some guys that get into SIM rigs then find out its nothing like their favorite arcade racer, could be the come up you need. Hope to see you on track sometime. I think you would be quite fast in time and probably love it!! Cheers!
@marksutherlandjr.2121 @dathyr1 And in full transparency, I got very lucky. I’m consistent but still 1-2 seconds off top times. But, again, I got VERY lucky. I spent 4 years with the manufacturer of this cockpit which put me in a position where a lot of the gear was acquired at a lower cost for one reason or another. Mostly for producing content. I’ve always wanted to be a racing driver, started karting when I was 5 years old and we didn’t have the ability to keep pursuing it. When I discovered sim racing it started filling a huge hole for me. I don’t have much of a social life, been single for a long time and struggle with my mental health quite badly. The sim is a really big part of my life and it keeps me happy most of the time. I’m grateful to have been put in a position where I got to build something I could only dream of.
You seem to sit _very_ low in that car, but anyway, what settings are you running in iracing to get the approx same FOV as in the real car? Typical triple 60dg/180FOV setup, or did you customize it to be more similar?
Eventually will get to it. I’ve been using Rexing for over two years now. I learned about them while working with another manufacturer. The build quality is hard to beat, some of the most beautiful carbon fiber work I’ve seen. And now with the V2, tons of neat features, and the OLED screen labels are really cool too. What do you look for in a wheel?
@@RacingSimSupportHA! i'm very new into the world of sim racing, very much in a more money than sense standpoint. currently running an alpha mini and gt neo, but will likely pick up a friends SC2 pro later on this year, so was looking at compatible wheels with that system, and will sell off the simagic stuff to a friend. Only real gripe with the simagic stuff is not being able to fully sync the LEDs on the wheel to what's going on in game
@@Dreadzombie I have a video talking about the differences between Simagic and Simucube and in my opinion, the performance is pretty similar, although there’s a lot more tune ability in Simucube. @danielnewmanracing has an LED profile for Simhub that is said to be perfectly synced with RPM lights with every car in ACC. I believe that should be available for the NEO. Most standard wheels can be adapted to fit the SC with a change of the quick release, OR, you can convert the Simucube quite easily and use wheels with a standard quick release. You will just need a USB connection close by so that you can connect paddle shifter button box.
Im sorry! I’m working on it right now. Had to set it to private while I finish it up. Let me know if there’s something I can help you with. Or you can email me at sales@velocityprosims.com
The app.ini file updates a lot of things after running at least one session. In this case app.ini will update with the Simucube 360Hz FFB after you run at least one session with your True Drive enabled.
Thanks for the video. I seen Dan Suzuki’s video but didn’t show how to enable it if the simucube file wasn’t showing in app.ini so this is perfect as he never replied after I asked. So thank you for this
@@RacingSimSupport well thank you cause I didn’t have the brain power to get it to work 😂😂 goes to ini file no simucube file oookay guess I’ll be running along now 😂😂😂 How do you find the 360? Much of a difference? What’s it feel like in the wet?
@@RacingSimSupport I gave it a go and tbh I don’t think I like it. I ended up turning it off. Felt like I lost ffb in areas but gained it in others. So strange but either way it’s not for me 😂
Hey bro! Esto es para Simucube en iRacing. Ahora en vez de tener 60hz de feedback, tenemos 360hz, mucho más detalle. Solo para Simucube ahora mismo. ACC lo tiene para todo sistema creo.
I have a few more videos to make, so I’ll keep that in mind. I tried shooting with two cameras and my other cameras quality is no where near what this one is so they were shot separately. Thank you for the feedback.
I have this wheel, awesome wheel, only problem I have with this wheel is there is a lot of light bleed at the bottom of the lcd screen, can be annoying when there is a dark screen background, interested if u have this issue?
I would quite interested to see where you have mapped these options on your wheel. I've just purchased a Cube Controls FPRO wheel and I'm struggling to map everything comfortably.
Good morning Chris. I am working on a new video for that exactly. I just received a new wheel and am spending this week figuring out where I want everything. Please subscribe if you haven't already, as that video will be out in the next few weeks. If you want to send me an email at sales@velocityprosims.com, I'm happy to chat with you about it. I am heading up to the Daytona 500 this morning In case I don't get back to you right away.
I've casually played with a Thrustmaster TX on and off for 10 years or so, with a foldable stand which i use with the xbox/tv. However, im in a position where i have the room/more time to look at doing a proper setup. I think i know what im going for. Ive been outting in overtime, so in the next week, ill have enough to build the PC. Thunking of i7 14700k with the Aorus waterforce 4090. But, I'm not going to build it yet, as i want to then save for the cockpit, which im thinking Trakracer 120 with triple 43" 4k monitors which are mounted to the cockpit, rather than a seperate stand. Once the above is saved for, ill then purchase at the same time, set it all up, and use the existing wheel/pedals. Then upgrade to Moza pedals, then the wheel to the R12. And then id love to build the SFX 100 for motion last. Does this sound like a decent way of going from people who have more experience with sim builds? Or is there a better path to go down? Was even tempted to film this journey from planning to final build so gain help/support/advice along this journey. Thanks 🙏
