It's my dream to own one of these. I have no actual use for it, I just want to dig holes and fill them in. I'd install speakers in the cab so I can listen to Diggy Diggy Hole while I dig. Chances of my wife ever letting that happen are miniscule though :(
Great video! Always helpful to see water sources and the sketchy bits. Camping next week at the flowed lands and doing Allen one day and these two the next. Looking forward to it!
Our city has bulk pickup if you put it curbside. I worked at a thrift store and the unsold clothes were sold to company that made those pink oil rags. So throwing away those clothes was a waste. Also you threw away scrap metal in that dumpster that had value. Hindsight is 20-20.
Seems like there is plenty of water along the way to filter, correct? Or is it spars right by the mountains. Checking to see if we can refill. I drink too much 🥴
I HAVE A Q ON THE Z54 I HEARD IT WILL FIT ON A 5X8 TRLR THEN I HEAR A 60 INCH MOWER WONT FIT A 5X8 TRLR THE 54 INCH I HEARD WAS 60.75 INCHES WIDE ? NEED TO KNOW BEDORE I SPEND 3300
In my opinion, this is about as small as you can go with an excavator before I find them pointless. I see a lot of people buying those Chinese Mini Excavators right now and they’re so pointless. They have like 8 inch buckets in them. It’s almost faster to shovel. I’m just saying for $8000, you go could get all the tools that relate to its attachments and do it faster. This machine though. Perfect size for homesteading. It’s actually capable of doing things.
Agreed. Anything smaller doesn’t have the power for a lot of things. Sometimes I might like a bigger one but I love the power to get in places ratio this machine offers. Thanks for the comment!
Last year I dug out 60 yards of dirt and caliche for a bunker with a 2 ton IHI Chinese excavator. It’s not the smoothest or the strongest but they do work!
I have been dealing with a hoarder neighbor. I sometimes put myself asleep fantasizing about winning the lottery, buying the crazy fool woman out, and taking an excavator to the house. In my fantasy, I even remove the septic system.
I've yet to do Cliff but I did Redfield in my longest hike that I ever did in the Adirondacks a 21 hour hike and I took out Redfield Gray Peak Skylight and Haystack(in that exact order) before continuing my hike to the John Brooks Lodge on October 25th 2023 but Cliff is my top priority for 2024
@@timberridgehomestead yeah I was hellbent on Mount Redfield because of the township/hamlet in Oswego County which is 44.5 miles from my apartment and I walked the whole to that place July 1st 2023 and that’s right around when I found out about the mountain so I had decided that I was going to go after the mountain because I had 1 Redfield and now I got to get the other and have a set Gray Peak was a bonus mountain to ensure that I’d have 6/10 of the highest peaks defeated Skylight and Haystack I went after them because I had already done Marcy Algonquin and Whiteface so by doing those 2 I’d have the top 5 highest peaks in the Adirondacks defeated
@@timberridgehomestead I’m use to doing long hikes if I’m not mountain on my free time I’m doing a 5-52.6 mile walk everyday and around 2 counties just about in fact this is the timeline of my 21 hour hike on October 25th-26th 2023 5:50am- arrived at the Calamity Brook Trail Noon- reached the top of Mount Redfield 3:30pm- reached the top of Gray Peak 4:20pm- reached the top of Skylight 6pm- reached the top of Haystack 3am- reached the John Brooks Lodge
The hiway safety laws must be really laxed or nonexistent where you live, because every load that blue truck carried would've been illegal in my state no matter how close the destination was. You did do a pretty good job tearing down that house. I commend you on that part of the job.
Only trucking the junk on my property to be burned away from the neighbors. Yeah the truck nor the loads on the truck where road ready😂. Thanks for the comment!
I haven’t watched any of your more recent videos yet, but I think your vids would be better without the background music. Also, slow your roll when you’re panning around. This has been a fun series to watch. Very satisfying.
Mate another great vid. How do the augers go if you have rocky soil? I have a hand auger but it's so rocky I am lucky to get it deep enough for posts. An auger for the 304 is next on my list.
