Showcase for Space’s boundless opportunities for human exploration! This channel highlights the development of new technologies to explore the universe in order to benefit humanity on Earth. The future is coming and it will be incredible...
If it looks fake, go watch it for yourself. I’m sure you didn’t know but if you walk outside the front door, there is a thing called outside. You probably are too young to drive so take a bus to the space x launch pad and you can watch it yourself! 😊
Craziest thing I ever watched live from SpaceX yet. The only thing that might be better is watching the Crew Dragon Stage 2 fly by my house in person on the east coast at sunrise with all of the exhaust tail behind the rocket going in the direction of the sun.
i cant believe Liftof has become so "NORMAL" so fast, first time it cleared the platform I was crying. Congrats for humanity and the whole space X team
I work for SpaceX on the starship program. I'm inspired every day by what i get to do and be around. While I've always loved the Falcon program, it hasn't inspired me the way Starship has since it started woth Stargopper. This video reminded me why i fell in love with SpaceX in the first place. Excellent video!
Thank you so much for your kind words! It’s incredible to know that the video resonated with someone who's directly involved in such groundbreaking work at SpaceX.
What will kill Mars is not even money (which it will) but chemical rockets and solar panels. You really need nuclear power for energy and propulsion or something yet not invented. The Apollo tech with Ipads and reausable rockets will not work. 6-9 month transfers will kill this mission.
SURE Glad My Kids Aren't on that Thing. BTW: Core America Citizens Are Confused --- WHERE THE HELL IS THE "FAA" CRAWING UP EVERY ORIFICE OF BOEING ... AS THEY DO SPACE-X??
Right? It's like the FAA is playing hide and seek with Boeing-except they forgot to seek! In any event I hope NASA puts Butch and Suni's well-being first....
After 28yrs of searching, yet Martian ice caps have water ice and water below surface and a good place to find extremophiles like earth toughest bacteria "strain 121" lives in 300f water at toxic sulfur vents under arctic ice.
What do you think about the recent findings on Mars pointing toward life? Will we have to wait for Mars Sample Return in the late 2030s for full confirmation, or will we find something more obvious before then?
SpaceX just announced: "During the first burn of Falcon 9’s second stage engine, a liquid oxygen leak developed within the insulation around the upper stage engine. The cause of the leak was identified as a crack in a sense line for a pressure sensor attached to the vehicle’s oxygen system. This line cracked due to fatigue caused by high loading from engine vibration and looseness in the clamp that normally constrains the line. Despite the leak, the second stage engine continued to operate through the duration of its first burn, and completed its engine shutdown, where it entered the coast phase of the mission in the intended elliptical parking orbit."
The part of Boeing that builds spacecraft is an entirely different organization from the airliner build division. They have a spacecraft in orbit, it's far better to run tests in space than on the ground, they're going through everything the can while they have the opportunity and the crew is getting to build some valuable space hours (for them). The intent is that the Starliner will be left at the station as a 'lifeboat' the way that the Soyuz are, they're getting good data on having it docked for extended time periods.
I agree - Steve Stich made this point in this week's Starliner media call-in - he likened the ISS to a hangar where additional testing can be done. Once Butch & Suni come back, the trunk with all the leaking thrusters will be destroyed. They must understand these issues to certify Boeing to begin sharing the crew-rotation load with SpaceX.
I believe Vast will be first, closely followed by Axiom Space Habitat Module, but I cannot see enough addition funding any time soon for any additional developments for any of the 4.
ANY new station with Artificial Gravity is a no go. Thats the facts. Get used to it. The risks of space are high enough without the gravity induced by any proven method. I dont care if they have to steal technology from aliens, but its the only reality there is to face. Otherwise, every dollar spent is a wasted investment for all reasons.
Artificial gravity is definitely an unproven technology. Might be best to implement in a small station like Haven-1 so it could be tested on its own merits and not wreck a larger project.
Some basic things to unpack.. Your time index in the description is incorrectly labeling what topics are discussed when. You're breathless in your speech as well as monotone.. but your voice is breaking at odd points because you aren't projecting from your diaphragm. you might think of using an AI generated speech from a script. Are the questions you're asking interesting or important? Which of these projects will be first may not be so important as a shift to low earth orbit habitation and work as a service. NASA providing a contract for research lab space in orbit is along the lines of the contracts that helped fund SpaceX in its early days. The likelihood that any of these designs will dominate in orbit research services in 2050 is low, more likely in the end it will be some combination of what worked well on all of these early attempts, as well as innovation we haven't seen yet. You make unqualified estimations of each projects likelihood of success but where did you establish your authority to evaluate the work of Blue Origin or Axiom? I think it's fine to promote something you like and its fun to imagine yourself in the middle of things but that doesn't necessarily make for great content that others want to see. Think about what you want the channel to be about.. should the channel be informative and report the facts or is it an opportunity for you to gush about things happening in space and make wild speculation about the future.
