Xero prio vs xero hfs vs primus lite 3 for gym and daily wear (lot of walking)? I currently got primes lite 3 but I am going to return them as they have a hole in the upper mesh just within 1 month so they don’t seem durable. However I did like how they felt. So confused between hfs and prio. I also see hfs 2 out but I have seen mixed reviews about those. Thanks.
Ungrateful, traitor and diabolically wicked Ethiopia doesn’t deserve Tigray and anything that come from her, including her athletes. The corrupt and despotic Ethiopian society has millions’ of god fearing Tigrayans’ blood on its hand. The blood of Tigray spilled by these evils will not go in vain. Tigray will prevail.
Letesenbet is an amazing athlete, humble, graceful and a beautiful representation of our country Ethiopia.💚💛❤ She will go far. God bless and protect her. So proud of her.
Thank you so much Mr Healey for making this wonderful mini-doc. Thank you Letsenbet Gidey I so enjoyed your running and was so happy for you at Oregon. I wish there is peace in your country and I hope you get to see your family soon. Your humility shines like a diamond. Keep safe.
Some people use the word “strength” in a broad context not necessarily relating to how much they can lift. For example some people might say “that person is a strong runner”. Especially given the context that English isn’t his first language.
i'm from tigray too and believe me when she was running in Oregon all of my family was watching her and we were so happy that she finally won. truly best video thank u
Yiannis Kouros set these records in the 80s and 90s without any of the shoes, equipment, nutrition and overall running science that today's runners have available. Pure physical and mental power. No disrespect to Sorokin's achievements but will they stand unbeaten for 30-40 years like the ones of Kouros? I highly doubt it. Yiannis Kouros is the GOAT of ultrarunning hands down.
It's one of those conversations that can't really be proved now, only debated. I think it's like debating something like who would win in a MMA match between GSP and Khabib in their primes? We will never know (although my money is on GSP.)
Beautiful girl im the one who admire you all, specially you i know haw difficult to be runner and athletic im also a runner, you are amazing watching from Greece ❤❤❤
Well in 1997 shoes play a big factor. In 2023 he’s using alpha flys with a boost cushioning. Big advantage. I still train with regular racing flats and you feel the pounding after 15-18 miles. With regular shoes he doesn’t stand a chance. But he did broke the 24hrs record with super shoes. Not with regular shoes
People have been running these ultra distances way before the cushioned shoe technology was developed, Look up "pedestrianism" if you want to see some examples.
1:27 Half marathon after only one year of training, goes to show this man is a super human. I wonder what on earth his blood line did to pass him these genetics
I love hearing their training routines because my first thought is often “this guy is just a natural runner that got lucky” and then I hear that he trains like 24/7 running regular marathons on his off day and I realize there’s a lot more that goes into his success that people can at least dream of replicating. Not to mention his starting point as an unhealthy 30 year old!
Exactly those are some of the elements I liked about the story too, however anyone who gets to the top of the human race at something has to have some crazy genetics, in addition to all the hard work etc.
The shoes definitely played a big factor in speed, but to say he didn't have a chance is an exaggeration, people have been doing ultramarathon distances long before all the cushioning technology came about.
Hi Tirnan, great and helpful video, thanks very much. I hear you say they're not great traction in the countryside. I'm hoping the PL3 will serve me for all uses: running on pavement, country walks and round the house. So is it that it's just not above average for grip on the muddy footpaths, or would I actually have LESS grip than the average (normal) shoe on the footpaths? And do you (people) typically wear them without socks? I guess that would be a decision to be made before one chooses what size to get.
@@arnoldd7073 Thanks. Why are the Primus Lite better alround? Are they better for road/pavement running? I've been running 2 miles each morning in my Trail FGs and imagine the thinner Primus Lite soles would give even less protection from the hard surface. I've been walking 6 miles frequently in the FGs for the last two months, and they were definitely the right option for that. The speed laces are also cutting across the top of my foot when running, the last string across near the toes, even when I loosen them.
i was walking (not running) every day 8 months out of 12 for almost 3 years in my vivo primus Trail, at least a couple of kilometers a day, mostly concrete and streets but also a lot of gravel / stone terrain and forrest ground, i have just gone through the lugs on the outsole other than that zero damagae to them. EXTREMELY Abrasion Resistant. And because its Plastic they wont change from mud, rain, sun, heat and so on like a leather shoe
Did you collaborate with Letesenbet or her coach Haile Eyasu on this or are they unaware of this video? The reason I ask is that I have recently become FB friends with her coach and would be happy to forward this to him. It is a very insightful historical timeline of this amazing athlete.
