I'm a refinisher but sadly the industry is dieing. Mostly do to low furniture prices. For example if you were to try to sell that dresser. Overhead was $115 + 2 days (assuming all 8 hours were used each day) at $50 per hour (which is low)= $915. Most costumers will only pay $600 or less for something like that and if it's sold at a consignment shop you only get half so 300. That makes your time actually worth about $11.50 an hour to work backbreaking labor with hazardous chemicals. I'm very much stuck on "no one will buy anything for what it's actually worth to work on it."
Please never never put your fingers behind your sharp pointy drill bits or driving screws while operating them. If something breaks, your drill bit / screw can end up in your finger faster than you can blink, then you will remember this comment :)
While it's not a good idea I don't think it warrants the double never warning. Never never test your nail gun with the palm of your hand.. never never eat taco bell on a road trip. But when it comes to the drill, just keep your hands clear is sufficient.
