I didn't pay close enough attention when I ordered mine and I thought it was a rifle light. I bought it for an AR-15. After I got it though I I started thinking, well how can it be a problem if I use this pistol light for a rifle? Well it turns out that this thing works fantastically as a rifle light. It is compact, lightweight and plenty bright enough for my needs. I love this streamlight and it will remain as my rifle light on my pending welded 14.5 custom build. I'm not crazy about the battery because I would like to find something to rechargeable. But the battery holds a lot of juice so I can work with it. I ran the battery dead on it once and replaced it with a Duracell, it looks brighter now from what I can tell.

Can the batteries be charged with any external convential charger rated for the battery chemistry and size? Or is it like your protac 2.0 light batteries (SL-B50) that physically doesn't allow it?
@@StreamlightTV It was enough to use regular 21700 batteries and an external charger and not come up with such oddities as built-in USB ports in the cell...
What is the MSRP? Also it should be able to be recharged without having to remove the batteries. There's no reason to have to do that in this day and age with the technology available today. That ends today's grumpy old man rant, we now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.
There are other flashlights that do that, but I for one don't like them. Recharging the batteries inside the flashlight would increase costs and complexity to add water resistant plugs. I would rather have the cost go towards the flashlight endurance and heat management. The plug itself is often some flimsy piece that breaks easily or rots eventually. Either that or a twist ring that is prone to collecting gunk or sand. I don't mind having to take out the batteries if they are compatible with an external battery charger I have.

When I installed them they don’t turn on anymore before installing I checked to see if the batteries worked and they did now after installing them, they are not turning on with the laser attached too the gun.
Hello! Can You help me in tightening the 3 hex screws at the back cover? Is it susceptible to overtight? I used my finger strength to tighten it firmly, and also used a little bit of blue Locktite. Thank you in advance! Flashlight performance is stunning, I've done great purchase
