I skimmed thru this video,, my hinges can be replaced separately. I used an allen wrench as a tool ,, to push the spring pin inside down, so that the hinge can pop out. Not sure if yours is made the same.. My door came with the house.
I called Anderson and they sent me a new one no charge. There is a lifetime warranty on that item. They told me the new one will probably need to be replaced sometime in the future. They know this is an issue so it's covered for life.
@@tkdbob2021 Andersen is probably the only company that stands behind their product. Every other company would charge the customer for their faulty part to replace.
Hi, what about if the rpm is not calibrated correctly?, when you pressed the stick just now, the needle did jumped. So that's the correct position of the needle?
My 96 Nissan Sentra Gxe speedometer is working but not my odometer or trip. I've already changed out the instrument cluster panel after noticing my speedometer wasn't working.
Hay man, thanks for video. You actually show the problem most videos don't and jump into replacing the regulator. My issue is when the window goes up it goes off track on a 96 Chev K1500. It happens on the way down too. More annoying on the way up though 😁 Thanks again!
The design weakness seems to be the plastic flange bushings that wear and crack over time. On our 20-year-old door, the bushings on the top hinge deteriorated and the misalignment caused the bottom of the door to bind. My first thought was to just replace the bushings. The size is 0.325" OD, with 3/16" a pin hole. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find a stainless part with an outside diameter that precisely matches the size of the plastic ones. As others have mentioned, a free replacement hinge rail can be obtained by calling the customer service number (have door serial number handy). They asked me to provide photos of the door and purchase receipt. If you don't have an old receipt (who does), then a bill or document that proves residence prior to the time the door was made will suffice. Andersen could save a lot in warranty parts if they would replace those plastic bushings with stainless steel, as that is the only part that wears out.
