The London Philharmonic Orchestra is one of the world's finest symphony orchestras, balancing a long and distinguished history with a reputation as one of the UK's most adventurous and forward-looking orchestras.
As well as giving classical concerts and opera performances in the UK and internationally, we also record film and video game soundtracks, have our own record label, and reach thousands of people every year through activities for schools and our local communities.
Are the Orchestra actually looking at the conductor? After so many rehearsals (the whole point) the direction of the Conductor is key to convey her interpretation. It doesnt happen here.... is this just marketing? It is beautiful though so it seems to work.
I experienced this first hand at the Barbican. The LSO and Anna Lapwood. It moved me to tears. Even on an electric organ. The orchestra were incredible and Anna was her usual amazing self. The point is GO! These concerts are just wonderful and everyone can enjoy them x
you call that fortissimo? put your backs into it.!! your bows are FAR too close to the finger board to get the volume required, but of course to make the string speak with the bow closer to the bridge requires WORK and yes I was a bass player for 25 years and played this work many times
hermosa interpretacion y conla particchella a todos los instrumentos tal cuales se pasaron felicitaciones desde aqui Argentina un fuerte abrazo mis queridos musicos
@@heron6462 the first movement is great but cmon, this fugue section is just peak orchestral writing. He manages to create and hold tension for like 2 minutes without it losing meaning
@@chrismcdonald9120 True, but Beethoven learned his fugal technique from the rather formulaic Fux, not Bach. I like a good stabbing dissonance if it's well prepared. The Jupiter's second movement is a case in point.
@@heron6462 yeah, you have a point, one of my favorite dissonant moments is the ending of Brahms symphony 4 movement 1, super cool coda section climaxing at these two terrifying and massive chords. Pretty good stuff
