My grandfather was from Ireland. I never met him. He died on my father was four years old. I live in the US and I'm totally blind. When I first learned a bother in the 10, or should I say Bobby and the other nine, They are my heroes. And to hear this beautiful song, it moves me to tears. I am proud to be Irish, and I hope you will continue to bless us with more music. 4:00
Four Green Fields is my departed mother's song and love the Mise, don't understand a bloody word and tought down there in Dublin, well Bray County Wicklow, born in Belfast East Belfast an enclave. Saw the Fureys along time ago in galway with a Spanish bird at the tine, 😉 kept shouting for Green Fields of France to Finbar and he interjected that night and adventually sang that beautiful song and one of my favourites.Rember that. Slainte True. 👍 we we where at a 4:22 big castles hotel place down there at the time. Many moons ago. Climbed or walked up Caringtohill with a friend from Brittney, highest mountainin Ireland. The song is powerful and so is the performance. Thanks or Slainte, Con ❤ 2:38
I don't get it.... I know there's a lot of Irish immigrants who migrated to Liverpool back in the days, but they're British now and they live in Britain nursing that song that's what makes it really silly. If they're in Belfast that'sa totally different story
