Do you need maps? Pretty much the only significant differences are maps and the display resolution. Personally I spent the extra because I know my next watch will be in 5+ years from now and the maps are great for when travelling.
We really need to get over the idea that posh packaging is a good or desirable thing. Using high quality materials for a box that will be used once is incredibly wasteful and frankly kind of gross. We really need to stop glorifying this kind of pointless wastefulness
Do you need a Garmin fitness watch to use the Garmin strap? I want to use the strap with my mobile directly. What are the additional features in Garmin vs coospo? Can I wear coospo while swimming?
doing a review for shoes just out of the box and only wearing them for a day isnt really a review... Like most of viavobarefoot shoes their soles wear down very fast. FOr the price that is a major problem which i hope they would fix at some point
Best decision I have made was going to a barefoot shoe, been wearing the Hykes Escapes and love them, soo comfy and my feet feel so good. Feel like I have been lied to all these years with regular shoes and Never going back to regular shoes.
@@verneyeyberg9527 both would do the job very well! I’ve always had a fenix, but actually the forerunner has a better build for triathlon I think personally
Really enjoyed the format! Take my like, already! I actually went the other direction. Last week I had a 965 that (even on max brightness), I really struggled to see during a run, in normal sunlight conditions. It frustrated me so much that I ended up with the 955 a few days later.
@@alexreader signed up for a Hyrox sim this coming October (doubles). I've a strong fitness base from years of Crossfit and other training so planning on just rocking up and giving it a go without any specific training!
As prep for real-world climbing Zwift can be great, but it's worth ensuring the climbing feel is set to 100%. In this video you're spinning a cadence of 85 to 95 rpms on a 10% grade, which may be unrealistic on the real climb where your gearing will put you at a slower grinding cadence. The low cadence will burn your legs where higher cadence leans on your cardio engine. For reference, my first trip up Alpe du Zwift took 44 minutes, because I didn't know what to expect or how to pace.
I have speedplay pedals but I have a problem on some occasions on clipping into the pedal. Is this a common occurrence or am I doing something wrong. Thanks
I have the easy tension cleats. For a couple months..I feel my left foot clips out too easily. My guy tried to adjust it but it’s exactly the same..clipping IN on the right foot sometimes takes several tries. It seems like a monkey could use these but so far I’m not totally in sync.
somehow, those odd health metrics....they just seem fake or just useless and unreliable. Annoying clutter. I just want to know the amount of time that I have kept my heart in a proper cardio improvement zone. Heart rate accuracy is important.
@@alexreader True... was considering Polar watch with strap, but good lord.... there is a LOT of despair about Polar these days. Polar would seem to be totally plug and play with my Polar strap. For now, I use my phone & Polar strap, but my fitness routine can get me dirty and loaded with equipment....reaching for my phone to check the cardio situation is a huge hassle.
Welcome back to YT Alex! 😆 good informative content. I’ve been using the Fenix 6 for a couple years now and have definitely got hooked on using the data that uploads to GC. Like you, I pay a lot of attention to HRV and Sleep Score. My oxygen and Hr data is sometimes iffy so I rely on my Garmin chest strap for more accurate hr data. I’m not a runner, but really like the display and touch screen that you showed. But I think I need another few years to justify another $$$$ for a watch! 😆 Cheers mate!
James! Thanks so much. I was expecting nobody to see this one 😂 you’ve got a cycling computer too right? Awesome metrics to have. Chest strap all the way, especially for cycling and running. Wrist sensor does an okay job but just doesn’t compare sometimes. Yeah you definitely aren’t out of date yet 😂😂
@@alexreader yeah I use the Garmin Edge 530, works perfect for cycling. Loving the new Edge 1050, but it’s way too expensive. Been doing more Zwift than outdoors this summer. Too blazing hot even at 5am..Hope all is well. Still waiting for that video about your island adventure 😆
@@hammmer55 yeah I’ve got the 520 I think. The newer ones look epic. Some clips from that adventure in this video! That’s probably the next one on the list 😂 forgot how to do it all so this was a good way back in ha
Yeah it’s a shame because it makes up a a lot of training for some people. But I get that’s it’s a difficult thing to measure. Trying the best I can to capture everything on this watch though, I think it makes it more accurate. I often forget to start it for strength training haha. Did you have the same one?
Best pedals ever!!! I would never ride without them. Never, ever heard a clicking noise. Maybe your set was a factory error. Again …. Best pedal on the market.
Going just out of my experience with barefoots and my own googling of pros on the subject: it seems as if barefoots amplify your stride errors, which is why even pros would run faster on padded shoes (not accounting for the spring boost that a padded shoe might give you). Track runners run on spikes, with no padding.
My Coospo HR monitor burns my skin sometimes 😢I don’t know anyone with the same problem. Tried to save some money, but I may need to get garmin one nevertheless
Nice review, how do you rate it now after awhile..I’m thinking this or orcea….dont couple sprint tri and my swimming needs a wetsuit with good buyoncy….im 6ft4 84kg…..you reckon need broad or just large?
Definitely a fan of this one! It’s just as good as the big brands but wasn’t nearly as expensive. Which is also good when they all easily rip at the top end. This gave me the best buoyancy I could find. Solid for the leg drag 😂 sizing is tough, I’d probably say large broad but hard to say
