Welcome! My name's Steve and this is Tabletop Union. The primary focus will be Games Workshop product unboxings. Necromunda, Kill Team, Warcry, Warhammer 40,000, Age of Sigmar.. they're all here! There may be other content occasionally, like non-GW unboxings, or maybe even not unboxings at all!
Why unboxing videos? I really enjoy watching them personally. It's a bit of a vicarious experience, like you've got it yourself. They can help decide whether you want to purchase something yourself, or they can just be some casual background noise. Hopefully I can be of help when someone out there is curious about the products I'm unboxing.
I'm brand new to making videos for RU-vid, and I'm figuring out the entire process as I go, from setting up the physical space, getting comfortable narrating, remembering to keep the item in frame, editing, processing, publishing.. it's all new and exciting.
@@TabletopUnion if I got space wolf patrol box can they look like normal Marines if I paint them something else or are they going to be covered in doggy stuff same thing with blood angels and other chapters are they all the same thing or do they have special stuff on them
Ok you meant the Raven Guard, not Death Guard then. All the combat patrol space marine boxes are Primaris scale models. 99% of any boxed sets they're putting out are Primaris sized. Yeah I'd hate to get some of the old Marines as well.
Also yes you can paint the Space Wolf combat patrol whatever colour you want. The Lieutenant is the only one that has some Space Wolf iconography on it, and you probably wouldn't use the upgrade sprue it comes with either.
Hey there. Enjoyed the video, but I had a question I was hoping you could help me out with. The bionic pointing arm in the Iron Hands upgrade kit looks like it's about three quarters of an arm. Is there a shoulder section I would need to acquire before I could attach it to the body of a Space Marine? Or is there a specific Space Marine body that has that shoulder section already attached that I would need to track down? Any information you can provide will be appreciated. Thanks.
I'd like to use these to kitbash with some Frostgrave Cultists to make my own custom sci-fi Cultists warband for either 40k or maybe even Stargrave if possible
No I don't think they would unfortunately. At least not easily. Space Marines have the rounded neck that just fits into a divot while these ones fit into necks. With some green stuff used for necks then maybe, though I'm not sure how they'd look in terms of scale.
21:34 😂 that's exactly what the Liftin' chem does for gas weapons for Escher. I use it EVERY game along with Blackout. It's a literal delete button lol. Just getting into Cawdor, an all female gang. There's a presence of The Bloody Rose Sisters of Battle in Hive Temenos. So I thought it'd be cool to have an all female cawdor gang try to immulate them, since they could never become a sister, they try their best to be like em. Thanks for this review, think I'll pick some of these up now.
I haven't unfortunately. Life has become very busy and hobby has sadly been put in hold until it all settles down. I'm in the middle of selling a house and moving! I hope to at the very least have them assembled in the next couple of months.
Keep up the great work and do what you like. I'm really digging the necromunda models I just got the Palanite Enforcer the cops with shields and I can't wait to get them painted.
I saw recently in one of the Facebook Necromunda groups that somebody with a little care and patience was able to cut and separate the fingers and thumb, reorganise and glue them back in place to make a left handed fist. I love Necromunda and the entire miniature line for it, you keep making videos and I'll keep watching them, I can't get enough Necromunda content it seems. Keep up the great work and take care 😉
That sounds like a lot of work! Necromunda hobbyists are crazy enough to do that level of work converting every model though :) I have several Necromunda videos planned for hopefully the near future; got some more Forgeworld kits to build. Thanks for the kind words!
Another great video. Just discovered your channel. I love Terrain unboxings. Terrain doesn't get enough love. Its nice to find a channel with long form unboxings without all the typical loud, over enthusiastic talking and adhd editing.
Hey mate, great video but some feedback I would give is that it is very quiet and feels like you are talking under your breath and whispering in my ear 😂
Yes you can! They bear no chapter-specific iconography and as of right now they're all usable in a Blood Angels army. They don't come with any BA transfers but otherwise yep!
Fully agree with the mono-pose models shit, its basically like that in every box, if you wanna go wysiwyg its so enervating, now im converting some, but thats mainly cause ive got a few gangs that i can take bits from. A problem i've noticed is that they are not in the same scale as 40k. its close but weapons, hands and feet are usually bigger on 40k things, while necromunda models are taller then what a normal human should be in 40k. Like the new arbites only goes to the torso of a delaque model, buts its hands and forearms is twice as fat. same with sions weapons on van saar looks like heavy weapons, I guess its ok, but it gets to me at times.
Yeah, more base sizes would have been nice. You could use Necromunda 40mm bases though, maybe add some of the bits from this set to em to help them blend in more.
Yeah, 10th is going to be the time of the Tyranid. I'm not a huge fan, will probably try and sell or trade the Tyranid half of the 10th edition box when I get it, but super happy that they're getting updated.
Love the content. Your voice is very relaxing. I just picked up this box, a box of Chaos Terminators, and a box of Possessed for my first army! I think painting will be therapeutic.
Recently picked this up! So excited to be starting on this hobby with the Raven Guard! Kinda sad they didn't include the Raven Guard upgrade sprue in this set.
Nice! I think they didn't include the upgrade sprues was because the shoulder pads on them don't work on Phobos Marines. Still it would have been nice for all the other little bits in them. Enjoy getting into the hobby!
@@TabletopUnion I definitely need to look into getting some Phobos! Had no idea that the shoulder pads fit different types of Marines. Totally! I was hoping to find a way to get more beaked helmets but even the upgrade sprue only comes with 2 per kit. Thanks! Savoring the builds at the moment!
@@TabletopUnion Very late reply but I use the primaris shoulder pads on the phobos marines and they work ok. Don't fit as tightly but I think the end result still looks great.
Huh, I guess you're right! Well I view the datasheets that come with the models to be pretty poor anyway, but it's a bit surprising. He normally comes in a clampack, maybe they don't do that for those ones? You can find the stats online pretty easily I think, try Wahapedia.
