Ive just found you're channel i'm loving it only up to vlog 13, Lynda is a proper trooper, making tea , cakes, painting, cleaning, cooking, driving the boat, doing the locks, now pulling a tree out of the river. Brilliant!
Its good to be back after months of work on the boat - me finishing the DIY, then the painting... Currently having the engine servived and some other work, then we're off cruising :-)

We've had such a busy few months that we've struggled to get out on the boat. Elderly parents and a wonderful granddaughter do consume a lot of time. So lucky to have them though 😊

I miss my family as I’m in Cheshire on my own and they are all in Kent but I can’t see the pull of going back to bricks and mortar. Narrowboat all the way!! Enjoy your family but get back on board as soon as you can and continue your adventures. 🥰

Glad you enjoyed it. No, we turned off at Fradley Junction to go back down the Coventry canal. Hoping to go up through Rugeley on to Stoke later this year if we can find the time 😊
We really enjoyed it - a big contrast to the Erewash, and the Trent was SO wide! We had a lovely time in Lynda's old village too. A very enjoyable few days 😊
I was there in May a couple of years ago, running with another boat, both solo cruisers. No weed and neither of us went down the weed hatch once😁. Being solo boaters, it was a hard canal to do, but im glad i went

I certainly had mixed feelings to say the least - but then I am a bit of a stress head! Lynda's toothache was (literally) a real pain, but we quickly got the required treatment. Glad now that we did the Erewash, but both of us were glad to get off it at the end.
Drunkeness and fire risks. Not simple this boating lark. Had experience of Hen / Stag boats thankfully no fatalities but there has been in the past. Fire on a boat is of grave concern because there are many ways in which one can happen on a boat . Carelessness being one of them ( Lynda ) Hope you are both well.
