You place your phone on a tripod and then get a £50 adapter to plug your iPhone to hdmi cable that goes into your screen. Switch on the app that is using your camera and it automatically lowers down the transparency so you can see your hand movements. Because iPhone is up there on the tripod is hard to see so you look on your laptop and just coordinate your hand movements 😅 Ghost lens something I think it’s called.
WOW IT IS A REVELATION TO ME, I thought AI was gonna be smarter then the whole of humanity. Turns Out AI thinks that Wilhelms Scream Is a SHOCKING REVELATION that needs to have 10 warnings. Well...
"You'll never guess what the sound i used is" The title of the film he knows he's pointing to right infront of me: "Wilhlem, i presume?". It's either comedy gold, or i need a refund of my 30s.
😢 C'est vrai. It's true. Once I learned about this sound effect it can never be unheard. It's overplayed extensively everywhere to the point that I now question whether or not it was used ironically, intentionally as a continuing tradition of tropes, or a rookie editor / producer simply unaware of just how much of a go-to sound effect wilhelm.wav is.
It started out in old westerns, got reused a bit and became an inside joke. Then it was used in STAR WARS and now we're all in on the joke. The more it gets used, the funnier, until it becomes a cliche. Mileage may vary.
