The oldest term for the avocado is the Aztec word aquacatl and the aquacatl is traced to Michoacan MEXICO. The Aquacatl did well in Michoacan due to the volcanic rich soil in the Central part of Mexico. The Aquacatl traveled south to Central America where it continued to do well in the rich volcanic soil. The Native Americans harvested the avocado for it's health benefits.
Why is it never discussed if this type of industrial food production results in crops with the same amount of nutrients and taste compared to crops that can extract those from the earth itself? f.e. tomatoes or strawberries from greenhouses look red, but taste like nothing or just sour, lettuce only like water. Food is only marketing and deception these days. Its nothing compared to the taste of the crops from our own eco vegetable garden which we treasure for over 30 years. We as humanity forgot how real food should taste and nurish us. This obsession with manipulating and controlling nature is insane and without boundaries untill the point that even crops have nothing to do with nature anymore. The untold truth is this so called 'sustainability' and 'innovation' is all being used for enabling increased profits that will go skyrocket without a doubt. But the population will get malnurished without even noticing. We should look to God for answers to our problems obey to his laws and read the Bible.
I was wondering how anyone could be so ignorant as to write a lengthy comment like this without doing their research first. Then I read the last sentence. It seems pointless to explain to someone who gets their scientific information from a book written by goat herders more than 2,000 years ago that produce harvested from aquaponic tower gardens not only tastes better but is also higher in nutrients than most traditionally grown fruits and vegetables. 🤦🏽♂️🙄
Actually if you are lucky you can get onions that are starting to sprout from the store or let them to sprout at home. Alternately you can utlise the bottom half of the bulb for vegetative propagation . Sure shot way is using seeds. Im talking at a garden level. Although one strategy is to let the onion bulbs of a few plants to rot and let the plants produce flowers which give you seeds
