There were a few games I couldn't cover, but Death and Taxes was on my radar. I'll be sure to keep it in mind when I begrudgingly pay my taxes next year! :D
Huh, I didn't know that about the boat that is The Star. In any case, while it's a bit unorthodox in being before the end of The Fool's journey, The World can be seen at the start of Reverie, used by Hermit 64 to transform The Fool into a Gameboy cartridge (an original one, even, rather than a Gameboy Color, you can tell by the notch on the corner). That said, I can't say I know the meanings well enough (or hardly at all) to know what it means here.
Sorry for the late reply! You're right. Another commenter, @ItsAllNunya, also brought up The World card. It's the only version of The World card I can think of that portrays a globe (a literal world) and deviates from the standard depictions of zodiac signs, so that kind of puts me on the spot... The World usually represents completeness, success and a journey, but when it's reversed, its meaning is usually stagnation, inertia. During the course of her recovery, the heroine likely went through a phase like Hermit 64's, alone, binging video games; maybe The World (the "completed journey") zaps The Fool in order to force her into this stagnant state and make her overcome this phase herself, through none other than playing the games as the real-world heroine had to. In other words, an imposed character development arc, haha. As for the cartridge, I'm pretty sure Gameboy and Gameboy Color cartridges were the same except for their colour... Some were gray, some were black, some were transparent, and others had fancier colours. I think they both had the notch on the top-right corner (and not on both corners like the cartridge here), but maybe I'm just old and forgetful by now.
Awwww, thank you, that's so sweet!!! It's probably a combination of previous videos being hyper analytical, long, niche... And most of all, few and far between. But I'm working on all of that :)
@@autisticandproudsnephew3636 The IRS takes no prisoners. Rumor is that, once they garnish someone's entire salary, that person becomes disposable... (Great pun, by the way!)
Let me know your thoughts on this one, tried something different to ease myself back into video production. If there's any game (serious or not) you'd like to see me talk about in a future video, feel free to message me/@ me on X or in a comment here. -------------------------------------------- CHAPTERS 0:00 Disclaimer and Intro 2:52 Part 1: The Good 16:51 Part 2: The Bad 21:56 Part 3: The "OC, Do Not Steal" 30:40 Part 4: The Ugly (not really) 32:23 Teaser
@@ExcrucioVII great im on my 400 plus hours first playthrouth since 2022 age of the stars ending cant deny i have the fear of compeletion when it comes to epic experiences like automata and E R
@@zedrinbing 400 hours!!!! That's awesome! And yeah, I get you... Completing it makes it officially "over," and it's hard to want to put such great experiences behind you when there's still so much to enjoy.
Sometimes, no matter how many spoilers are given, it only makes you want to play a game more. Incredible video. Hopefully ill be able to play Nier in the next year or two, fingers crossed, bc i HAVE to know what you have to say about that. Ill be picking up this title asap. :oD
The World card is actually first in The World We Knew! Its not very easy to spot. Right at the beginning of the song, low on design elements. Just a globe. I keep recommending this video to everybody, dice roll whether they watch it but i love it so much. Hope the channel grows. :o)
WHAT :o I'll have to replay the level ASAP! Nice find, thank you for sharing!!! And thank you very much! That's extremely sweet of you, I really appreciate it! It's pretty much a dice roll whether my friends and coworkers watch my stuff, too, haha. The length alone must be pretty daunting. I'm glad you love it! I'm still figuring out the algorithm and stuff, but it's growing slowly and steadily :) How do you feel about the other videos?
@@ExcrucioVII I can't watch the nier video because I want to play it without spoilers(shitty pc and no console that can manage it still), but nothing stopping me from watching the other one right now! Let me get back to you in those comments :oD
@@ItsAllNunya That's all right, there's no rush to play it. All in due time! :D Solid choice, waiting to play the game beforehand -- personally, I loved it, so I do hope Nier resonates with you as well! And thank you very much for taking the time to watch the Furi video, it's much appreciated
@@ExcrucioVIIyou asked so nicely, how could I say no when this video was so good! Apparently I forgot to subscribe so I gotta fix that lol. Looking forward to what you put out next. :oD
Thank you so much!!! :D I only found it thanks to a very lucky stray bullet (the damage number). I'm glad you found so many new things out about this wonderful game!

You really went above and beyond with this analysis. The amount of work you put into this really shines through, with a lot of really cool details a dummy like me never would've noticed. Looking forward to your next one and keep it up!!! 👍👍👍👍👍
