I hear you re lack of time, but I so hope you do a detailed video as well as this short. Do you have textured walls? Thats my issue and would love to understand how you solved, not to mention, if you do have textured walls did it look funny having some still textured and some not? Love your inspiration photo too.
Hiiii!!! So I am actually coming back to RU-vid hopefully within the next two weeks. Both my kids are in school now and I will finally have the time to make videos again!! We do have textured walls. So we go rid of all the texture! I’ll do an in depth video on how we do it now!
It’s beautiful and looks absolutely solid, but since you are using it for toys, you really need a locking hinge so that when the lid is raised, it won’t fall on your beautiful child.
Biggest mistake most people make when hanging their flat screen TV on the wall is hanging it too high so that you have to look up straining the neck while on the couch. The TV should be at eye level from a sitting position.
I want them to live their best life too! Our lab is now too old to jump on the couch. Our other one doesn’t like to be on the couch, and the only one that does knows to only lay on a blanket.
I have textured wallpaper literally everywhere in my home and I've never liked it. After 5 years here, I'm finally in a place mentally where I got my shit together enough to work on those things to turn that house into a home. I never knew it'd be this easy, thank you for taking a lot about my fear about that massive undergoing away :D
the rub is beautiful too, you've got me considering getting it for my living room. is it itchy at all, as there's wool in it? I had the west elm wool souk rug and my kids found it itchy and scratchy on their bodies when they lay on it or sat in shorts, even though it feels plush underfoot.
I have this exact sofa, big sur, with the Performance Boucle Oatmeal, and i have a black dog and 4 kids and it has held up amazingly. people always ask how I keep my sofa so clean and white. Buy a washable waterproof small throw for where you dog can go on, and don't allow your kids to eat on the sofa. Ta-Da! I've had it 4 years now and it still looks brand new. If you want to go back to the boucle, put your money on it honey. It is fantastic.
I bought a PB couch 25+ years ago and when I gave it away it still looked decent and was one of the most comfortable couches I have ever owned….and I have bought from EA and Macy’s… I had a cream colored cover and a dog and 4 grand kids. Amazing quality, at least 25 years ago!
Great job. Just a heads up though for others. Depending on your wall, and how many times it was painted over, you may need to go the sanding route. Lot more work. But may be necessary if you don't want wall and sand chipping off...
I’m trying to find a comfortable couch for a small space I have Pottery Barn Cameron and it’s just not that comfortable not deep enough. What do you suggest?
