Welcome to my Channel! Here I will be sharing my ballet knowledge with you all! I trained at The Royal Ballet School in London and danced as a First Artist with The Royal Ballet for 6 years. I have completed the Ballet in Education Course from the Royal Ballet School/Royal Opera House in 2014 and am now a full-time ballet teacher. I completed the Vocational Ballet Teachers Diploma from the Royal Ballet School in 2018 as well as completing the Dance, Development, Teaching and Learning Diploma from Trinity Laban in 2018. I am the founder of Blommaert Ballet & Toning in London where I teach Ballet, Barre Workouts and my own unique Active Stretch Class. I joined Elmhurst Ballet School in January 2019 where I am a fulltime Ballet Teacher. You can follow me on Instagram at @sanderblommaert and @blommaertballetandtoning
Farches are ugly because the hump is too low. But even if it's done well, it ruins beautiful feet anyways. They should be used by dancers who did everything they can to stretch and strengthen but still struggle.
Very interested to try this way ! Would be really helpful if after you do you the verbal explanation you could round up the video with a repeated demo of the tips in action with your beautiful technique... Otherwise one has to rewind to review and rememeber beginning bits-- seeing the visual again of the tips would be great. Thank you
OMG! This was SO useful! All these years taking ballet (I started at the age of 50+) and finally an explanation of the brise that makes sense for my body. As a tap dancer, the cabriole was easy. Just like a heel click. But the brise was nearly impossible. You just made it easier for me. Thank you!
HI Sander! The tip about keeping the level evenly lower than the final head in the Jeté makes a lot of sense. I think it is also the reason that the down, down runs before jeté entrelacé make the latter look higher-- vs. a chassé prep. Thanks and love your channel! XX Sarah
Thank you Mr Sander for explaining entrechat beats the moment I saw I clicked and subscribed I have trouble executing them but with your tips I'm confident I will get them right!!💖❤
Hi Sander! Have been watching your videos for a while now and they have really been helping me improve, thank you so much for sharing! :) I have still been struggling to hit my last fifth position in the air before landing in royale. I go out, in, out, and then simply close in the back and can’t seem to hit my fifth again as the fourth piece of step. Do you have any tips for me?
You have to work with your sound..this video sound is fine but your other older video sounds are very problematic.. Not clear because some echoing... Pity that I liked your tutorial videos content -wise but....bad sound torturing my ears
Please can you purchase a radio/wireless microphone as the reverberant environment does not help in articulating the instructions you are trying to get across.
Heeeey!! I`ve just found your channel and I am LOOOVING it!! I am an adult ballet dancer and your tips are wonderful!! keep them coming: pleeaasee!!! Thank you ever so much!! cheersss!
First off I just want to say thank u so much for taking the time to educate and teach us these valuable tips and advice🙏 May I request some videos on strengthening leg muscles to achieve higher leg extensions and flexibility? Also on having a stronger core.
