I read the other comments here. There seems to be a misconception regarding the purpose of Confederate Memorial Park, Inc. The park is not there to remember the CAUSES of the War Between The States, rather, it is there to remember the civilians, men, women, and children, as well as the soldiers, both Confederate and Union that suffered and died or that suffered privations yet survived the conditions. It is strictly about historical remembrance and honor for ALL that suffered there. We honor and respect those people and their decisions in life. It is primarily a Confederate Memorial because that is who the camp was built to house during a time of conflict. Come and visit us. We feel we have a lot to offer.
