EcoHabs demonstrates regenerative environmental living practices for our future to be possible. Furthermore we conserve land within the Florida Wildlife Corridor with a goal of seamlessly protecting critical wildlife habitat from the panhandle to the keys. As part of our conservation mission, these preserved lands support the development of ecological habitats (EcoHabs) which provide an educational demonstration of eco-friendly off the grid living practices . From food forest gardening to rainwater collection to renewable energy including solar power and off-grid habitats, we provide education to residential home- and business-owners on how to act against Climate Change by living and working harmoniously with Mother Earth. Together we can provide a secure future for our children, grandchildren, and all life on this planet which we call home.

Thank you for being a true action hero of Earth. And when I say action hero I mean just that. You are taking action, and you are a real hero. All the children of Earth should be happy, and healthy. 🌲🌴☘️🌿🌱🌳
Putting batteries in series doubles the voltage and we would end up with a 24 V battery system. I need a 12 V battery system so parallel is the correct way to do it.
How does this work? Not enough technical specs. Without a battery a lot of wasted solar energy when loads don't perfectly match output, MPPT inverter + now super cheap batteries seems better.
Happy to provide the specs, email us at ecohabs4earth@gmail.com. You need a GIGANTIC traditional solar generator to run Air Conditioning. This makes solar air conditioning very affordable and with minimal equipment. Email us for more info!
@@ecohabs4earth I agree. The new solar generators are a step forward towards that goal. I did a solar installation on a swimming pool with a swimming pool solar pump, 4 330W solar panels in series parallel and it doesn't need energy from the grid.
@@davidceron8660 oh cool. We a solar pump on our pool as well, panels attach right to a DC motor. Sun comes up, pump turns on. Sun goes down pump turns off! It’s the bestt!
In kentucky its illegal to save rain water for your personal use.even on your own property..they want taxes..they still want to charge you for sewer fees..im not making this up
I have done the same thing. You may be wrong about the voltage rating on your heating element. Most tanks that big use 220v elements. You will increase the efficiency tremendously if you replace the lower element with a standard 120 volt 1500 watt heating element. It's an ohms law thing. A new heating element should only cost about $10.
that will definatly get you in trouble if your electric supplier installs smart meters and you don't have the proper equipment , agreements and insurance in place
That is the beauty of these-you are correct for conventional net metering, but these are simple devices that you plug into an outlet like any other appliance in your home, and DO NOT require an agreement with the power company!
@@ecohabs4earth trust me smart meters can sense any back current when they do your electric company will be out to warn you to stop back feeding the grid ....your unit looks like a standard grid tie invertor with no provisions for current consumption ....so it doesn't know if it is powerig your device or back feeding the grid ....if your backfeeding the grid without an aggrement your breaking the law and subject to fines and imprisionment if someone were to get hurt. You would have to show me the the circuit or feature that does this because I know of nothing that can do this without a current probe
Other than the way you parralled your batteries ,its an easy set up. The parallel wiring is wrong, works but wrong. You should of had a positive coming from one batter but the negative coming from opposite battery. They will not charge equally with that wired configuration you have there. you will kill the first battery a lot sooner.
This is incredible wow!!! This is my first time to sse all this things and i have little ideal on a solar panel but I really want to learn more i don't know how i should get help
Hi, we're on land in Levy County. Apparently we're not allowed to live in our camper. What do we need to know about how to live off grid here that the County isn't gonna tell us?
Good day and thank you for your question! Every county is different - we found out that working directly with the county engineers is the best way to find out exactly what is permitted and help them understand what you want to do. Typically solar is permitted but they do not know much about rainwater harvesting and grey water processing. This is an opportunity to educate them for the wave of the future!
What state are you located in? We could send you seeds! We are a nonprofit and we do accept donations for some products. If you can not grow it, we could dehydrate some for you.
The nice part is the hot water heater is like a big battery, storing hot water through a cloudy day. Also you can put the upper heating element on the grid, at a lower thermostat temp, as a backup. We did this and really like the result…
Hmmm... Sorry but I do not know! We purchased the shell from a custom builder, and did the buildout ourselves. Perhaps I have it on the title? I will pull that out...
What really great is that you are using a metal box. Any outside interference is blocked out like an EMP as long as you ground the box to earth ground. A modern day faraday cage
I'm starting to find out that my definition of portable and that of other people including you, diverge immensely. Either that or your title is clickbait.
Ha yes for us, and local code, portable is not permanently attached to a building or structure so that it can be easily moved. My wife and I move these around all the time as various projects come and go, or as hurricanes approach!
That's kind of the same setup I did several years back, he's the larger diameter of pipe Schrader valve from off of semi new. And a 12-volt heating element was from Missouri wind and solar, I found the ones off of Amazon we're not true 12 volt the one I bought from Missouri wind and solar has a dial on the back of setting the temperature very nice video thanks for sharing
This is what brought me to your Channel, solar hot water heating. Missouri wind and solar, sells a heating element that you can plug right into any hot water tank it has the heat dial right on the heating element outside of tank. Thanks for sharing always looking for new ways of heating and water
