Im an only child and have had narcissist traits for a while. I see a therapist about it and do deep lots of reflecting. I can tell you that being an "only" can have serious effects on your status, whether its neglect or overly protective/loving, etc. You really do see yourself as the star of the show in your own world, and it has terrible consequences on yourself and by extension others as you grow up.
Sounds like what I have to deal with from my narcissistic father and his flying monkeys they all claim they love and care for me but in reality they're only out for themselves 😢. What they say what they mean is two completely different things.
