Welcome to my little slice of hobby happiness. I like talking warhammer and painting warhammer. I create videos showcasing miniatures from many companies like Citadel and Privateer Press as well as many others. I create painting tutorials for the newbie as wells the experienced mini painter. The main tutorials I make are Fresh Tips, Just the Tip and the return of the series that started it all, Quick Tips. Take care of your Brushes and they'll take care of You. Wargaming is Life.
New warcry models as all warcry models are increadible! I love them. The only problem is that warcry is dying, and not because people don't want to play it - it die becuase GW want to kill this game :(
I like that they fixed the backgrounds on the rulebook. The other rulebooks are harder to read. My set is pre-ordered from my local. Plus the ruined walls.
So is the rulebook all the core rules for Necromunda? Or Do I need to buy another book? Cause I really want this box, and am probably going to get it either way.
Nice to see GW cutting out the plastic shrink wrap. 👍Are the books still printed in China? I wish they had included nicer boards, paper always feels like a lame starter set throw-in. Thanks the unboxing Kris!
Cheers for the video Mr Kris. I was 50/50 on getting this box, but this has swayed me, a little disappointed the board is the newer thin style, but cant complain given how much a deal this box is given GW prices. lol.
Thanks for the video Kris. Question, I have never played Necromunda and looking to get into it. My friend who I would play this with has never played as well. Would this work for us or is this more for one Necromunda veteran and one beginner?
You will have an easier time playing with a vet... but it is not necessary. The rules of the game are based on an older rule set from the wh40k days. The game offers plenty of depth and replayability.
Looks pretty good! There's always going to be limitations with web cams but this definitely looks like the higher end. Any idea how this compares to the Logitech brio? Heh... dongle
Man I was born in 1994.. that being said old world looks super fun and the figures are so charming. I loved looking at the high elves as a kid, If they get a box I might have to get one!
Thanks so much for showing both sides of the sprue, and in such close detail too! I don't play the faction and am just doing research for kitbashing, so many people only show the top and it makes it hard to know what each piece actually is.
Thanks for this old video! I'm (slowly) working on my Thousand Sons army, and plan on a big, derpy Lord of Change as my centerpiece. I feel like colorshift paints are PERFECT for the big fella (thinking Ice To Never on the main body/wings, motherlode on the underside, maybe do some under-highlighting slap chop-style to bring in some depth?). but an airbrush is completely out as an option for me for the forseeable future. And it's great to see that, with some patience, I can absolutely still make use of em' with just my crusy old paintbrushes. Honestly, given his featheryness, the subtle texture of the brushstrokes might be to his benefit.
To be honest buying paint is expensive so I kind of just use the same techniques but with my own blood gives it a more authentic look if you know what I mean
@@WayoftheBrush use some kind of clear sealer prevents the blood from being exposed to oxygen meaning it will never turn brown unless that's what you want
@@WayoftheBrush the weirdest part about it is it is actually a very good tip I highly recommend you seal your models with some kind of transparent sealer to prevent the paint from peeling off unless of course you want to
Nice looking box! Looking at the genestealers, they look a lot like the new cadian models. Perhaps they'll do what they did previously with the old astra mil box and a separate compatible GSC conversion kit
Yeah it is interesting what they will package when the time comes for these new units to enter the GSC army. Will it be a combined kit or just the upgrade frame?
I think all the molded basestuff, and easy build kits, are the prototype sculpts for the ranges they are representative of. They're just offsetting the sculptor fees by selling the design phase sculpts and designs that don't end up in the ranges. It's why we see so many non-standard models in these kits too, like the Skaven climbing on sewers props for Underworlds. Or the archer on horseback here. Or the Frankenstein-esque Undead from the Underworlds with all the tech gears on them. Et cetera.
