Hi can you pls explain how do you turn so fast when braking? It seems so natural, but when i brake like that I have to do like a very little jump or the skis won’t turn 90º
I did it with two nights of practice. Nevertheless one side always smoother that others, need more practice and practice for making both sides the same smoothness. Although I able to do it but after doing many 360s, 720s, 1080s, 1440s... you will feel dizzying on slope🤣 By the way, I am in 50s, once doing this trick on a moderate slope (caution don't endanger other skiers), just feel you are in 25🤣
Is it normal, that when doing 3s just on your feet, it is more difficult to land balanced? i alway tumble over to one side... My sense of balance seems to be shit
The difference in jumps is huge! Never underestimate the importance of building a quality kicker with enough length, that points to a decent steep landing. Coming from the school of hard knocks, those 2 things can make a large difference in landing even if the technique or speed is not spot on.
this looks like a slope spin, which is done by tilting forward and backwards..but i guess quite different this one is more sideways, initiated by edging.. but you get dizzy easily...at least i did
So at the beginning of the year I got new woman ski boots because they weren’t as stiff as the mens, but I know that they don’t go as high up as the mens do, do you think that could cause shin bang?
This is why people who grew up skiing are not great to learn basics from. I feel like it's trying to teach someone how to take a breath or a step. "Idk, not much to it, just breath, pretty simple." Not hate on ya, I totally get it. But for newcomers, there are a whole lot more minute details that can make a world of a difference. Also, the biggest thing that holds most people back is the mental aspect, that fear factor. If you grew up doing this then it's normal; for a beginner, that's the biggest thing you gotta coach them thru.
Very good tutorial. Thank you. I appreciate the emphasis on getting on the rail. I struggle with urban style rails. I’m scared, so I don’t pop well and Ollie up.
Excellent tutorial. I make every mistake you mentioned! So the swap seems impossible, I don’t have any leverage to push against the rail. Thank you very much.
