Some electricians are complaining when you pig tail bare copper wires together, the hybrid pliers nick the copper which caused a breakage in the wire continuity. The sharp edges where the wires are twisted together which made a few electricians to grind down the sharp edges just after the pliers cross hatch holding section.
I use them at minimum 40 hours a week and that never happens to me ever. However I know how to make that happen every time. They are grabbing the wire much further up than you need to. As long as the end result means you have enough wire still there is no right or wrong place to grab the wires. So the people having that issue are basically choosing to make it happen.
I see armorstart LT and Armorstart ST, but there is no mention of what these abbreviations LT and LS stand for. Does anybody know what they stand for ?
I just ran into a problem on which I have a corrupted firmware on a PanelView 600 compact but in my case there is a logo indicating the touch panel is disabled and wont allow me to do anything, there is a fault (red blinking light) but I'm not sure if I should pay an automation company to flash the firmware as the message on the screen is unclear I mean would flashing a new firmware solve my problem? the local disctributor didnt know what to do..
Thank you for your question. Our recommendation would be to return the PanelView to Factory default and then try re-flashing the firmware. If this does not work, consider migrating to a currently supported solution. If you have any additional questions, please contact a local branch. www.mc-mc.com/LocationFinder

The PV 7 B is unfortunately a step backwards. It takes too long to commission and we lost valuable features. The PV 7 A and its predecessors were more enjoyable.
Hello, here is a link to download BootP: compatibility.rockwellautomation.com/Pages/MultiProductFindDownloads.aspx?crumb=112&mode=3&refSoft=1&versions=59657 Please let us know if you have anymore questions.
What is the Purpose of The Aux/Pilot Contacts ? like in a 480V 3phase 4W application, what would be the purpose of the aux/pilot contacts if any ? can you give a real world example or provide links to such ?
Hello, A common application for aux would be that contacts are early break contacts in variable frequency drive (VDF) applications. Disconnecting the control circuit before power is removed from the drive. This sequence of operation is very important, if shutdown is not handled properly, the drive could be damaged. Another popular application would be to provide feedback to a programmable controller to tell it whether a piece of equipment is powered on or not. Thanks for watching! In response to your other comment, the number of pins on a safety input device/sensor may vary based on the type of device or the manufacturer. At a minimum the 5 pin connections provide power and 2 safety input channels. Some safety devices may use an 8-pin connection to add other functionality to the device, such as a lock input or a reset function. We offer Guardlink taps with both pin variations to ensure most safety devices will connect without any custom cables. Feel free to reach out to your local Rockwell Automation distributor if you have any other questions.

Hello, On the MicroLogix 1400 you'll want to make sure that DHCP is turned off after setting the IP address. This will prevent the IP address from resetting. rockwellautomation.custhelp.com/app/answers/answer_view/a_id/495078/loc/en_US#__highlight If you have further questions or concerns, please contact your local Rockwell Automation distributor.
