Thanks so much for video, question: my faults clear, then I drive for a bit when I hit a bump all fault light up and speedometer will no longer move.... possibly same problem? Thanks in advance.
I took the Transfer Case ECU control module off , no sign of any water ingress. Put the whole thing back together and still the three messages are still there.... Nightmare
I have a faulty TCM on my Velar 2019 D180… I am curios were is located… as I had a engine wash about 3 weeks before it went down… car is blocked in Parked…
Thank you so so much for this video. It has solved an issue I have had for a long time and making our shower very interesting doing the hot water dance. Thank you.
Mine wont calibrate when i press and hold for 2nd time the light stays on briefly unlike yours that is solid for some time, then goes back to the 10 second interval meaning not calibrated!! Tried loads of times! Pump won’t stop. I guess something else is wrong. Pump looks ok, IC o-ring non return etc look like new. Any ideas? Only in the last few days the pump no longer stops when taps off… has been calibrated fine for a year so maybe a faulty pump or something else
@@connorjohnson763 I was convinced it was faulty but our annual service mechanic sorted it easily by doing a full reset . Which isn't in the manual I'm sure. I think he disconnected it from the battery perhaps by flipping the fuses and waiting 10 mins before turning it back on. Give it a go if the documented calibration process isn't working.
So im out on vacation with my family and got this same issue. Car just died an limited gear and f and parkbrake etc.wont start. Im reading out several fault and im kind of convinced its the same thing. Going to open the box and check. But i have one question...why the steering angel reset?
Big thanks for this had intermittent fault whenever I turned left, battery wasn't fastened down and the earth cable was pulling on the loom for this and pulled the connector loose Top bomber Thanks 👍
Hi, when I try to do a scanning on my 2005 LR3 V8 4.4 only the ELM is connected the ECU is not getting connected, can you pls tell me the possible reason for this. All the dash lights are on and the Transmission is F.
Its certainly effective but not as good as the roof fitted units. I would say to try and get the fitters to put the vents where you would like them or add another as I had done just bare in mind any warranty issues.
Just looking at buying elddis 840 which has this AC system, the 840 is a huge van so my questions are, how good it to get cold a.c. and alternatively will it help keep the van warm as understanding the blown air is gash ??
had HDC fault system not available ... no fault codes tho. so took battery out ,removed plastic cover to expose the tcm ,removed tcm and sprayed the plugs with contact cleaner, opened the tcm to look for corrosion on the pins and nothing so gave everything a good spray with contact cleaner and reassembled it , pluged it back into the car replaced battery ,1st start got the same mesg so left it running for 5 mins switched off and switched back on again and not had the mesg since .. no corrosion but may be there was some dust but it seems to have done the trick. thanks lazylen for the info on your video
Its so nice to know this video is helping so many people. I wish I'd have filmed it in a better way, didn't realise at the time that it was going to actually work. Thank you for your comments
@@bigbootedskin There are many causes. Could be low battery voltage, could be Brake pedal switch, could be steering angle sensor, could be even as simple as a under inflated tyre, especially if it happens when moving. You may have already checked all of those but worth a look if not. If your brake lights still work it doesn't necessarily mean the switch is good. Good luck
@@lazylen7199 ive just orderd break light switch as they are cheap enough to change just incase ,had new battery, new alternator and starter motor recently, i dont think there is anything wrong with steering angle sensor as im not getting any codes when its pluged in
@@lazylen7199 changed Brake pedal switch, and put battery on the conditioner over night just to make sure battery was fully charged ,used the car twice now and no hdc fault ...
Have just checked all 4 drains,.....three drain(can see water spilling on the ground), the driver rear doesn't, but the grommet is connected and looks good. Problem is, still getting water in the front footwell...even though the drain works. Noticed the A pillar liner is wrinkled...I think the bottom grommet is OK, but there is a leak up near the top where the drain tube seats in the sunroof gutters. Has anyone encountered this?
I'm about to fit a second hand A/C unit the same as yours. I'm given to understand that Truma recommend that only a maximum of 15 metres (total) of ducting is best performance wise, and the longest "run" of ducting should be no more than 8 metres. From what I see your ducting would likely be more than both these guidelines, is that so.? Did your 4th duct design do what you wanted.? From Australia. P.S. didn't think Great Britain needed airconditioning.
little tip, add extra insulation around the ducting, once the air comes out of the truma unit and into the ducting the temperature of the air inside those ducts increases over the length of that duct as well, thats why they recommend only short "runs". any hot air around that ducting, heats up the duct, and heats up the air inside, so insulate, insulate, insulate! :)
Great fix Len, you did well finding this fault. Is it still holding up. Possible the corrosion was not from a leak, maybe just condensation. Very good and helpful find.
