What a cutie. Schnauzers are the best dogs ever;?they come in three sizes and they are all gorgeous. Have fun with your little one. Just don’t eat the trash, sweetie. Love 💕 Schnauzers🐾
@@evette-and-rohan thanks for replying it made my day :) I hope every thing is going well my dog loves peanut butter maybe he well to .have a good day :)
Schnauzers are so intelligent. I miss my two boys, Makena and Elijah. I would love to have another boy. Just one now that I am retired and am home day andnight. But being retired I can no longer afford to purchase.
Thank you for NOT snipping his tail ! Cute puppy, but they grow up too fast. But, because he is a Mini-Schnauzer, he will be a puppy ( sort of ) forever !
The breeder is the one who decided not to cut the tail off. Since this channel is European and not American that’s probably why. America needs to start banning these horrific practices. ❤️🐶
As @Bunny Larese stated, this is not legal here in Switzerland... BUT even if that were not the case, we would not have chosen a breeder who does this. We do not support docking of ears & removal of their tails. We originally come from South Africa, and my wife's folks also have schnauzers, and while ear & tail docking is allowed there as far as I know, it is not something our families support either. (So we do not have any pets that have been through this terrible process)
When we play definitely, but it’s getting better every day for her random bite attacks 😂. I think it’s because we’re still in the teething phase. But currently @ 5months old, yes she does. 🦷😬
I can imagine. 🤣 Even though Blue has any been with us for a short time, she's already got her own (little) cupboard filled with treats and toys 🤣 I think some spoiling is ok 😅 Ps. Thank you for watching our video 😀
How much training do you do a day? How old is your pup now? Do you have kids as well? :) I try and do one obedience/trick session a day, plus a desensitisation session a day. I also do obedience school for one hour to 1.5 hours every Wednesday, plus I try and take him out somewhere (not on the ground until next week) once a week too. Should I be doing more? Oh and I’m also working on jumping. He’s gotten really good with me, but still jumps on the kids. Also should add, my pup is 11 weeks old.
Firstly, thank you for watching our video & taking the time to comment on it :) Q: How much training do you do a day? A: We do about +/- an hour a day, broken up over meal times and walks. For trick/skill training. This was really the game changer for us, using meal times as training sessions. We do outside desensitization once or twice a week in the city (our generally outside), and desensitization like vacuum, doorbel, ad-hoc Q: How old is your pup now? A: 19 Weeks, we got her at 9 weeks Q: Do you have kids as well? A: And no kids Q: I try and do one obedience/trick session a day, plus a desensitisation session a day. I also do obedience school for one hour to 1.5 hours every Wednesday, plus I try and take him out somewhere (not on the ground until next week) once a week too. Should I be doing more? A: We're not too sure, but what you're doing seems very similar (if not better) to our process thus far, and it has worked really well for Blue, so all you need is some time & love :) (We actually spoke about taking Blue to a school this past week, but we moved to a German speaking country, so we need to try find an English school first 😅) Q: Oh and I’m also working on jumping. He’s gotten really good with me, but still jumps on the kids. Also should add, my pup is 11 weeks old. A: Again, time.. even now Blue will still try jump when we do certain things (like putting on pants for some odd reason really makes her excited 😂), but recently we've noticed she listens more when she does this, and we tell her to sit. I think for you with a family and kids, everyone needs to be consistent. We're not dog training experts by any means, but have had a lot of success with many of the advice from the more well know RU-vid pet channels, and just being consistent. Our (and your puppy) just needs time. We'll upload more of our successes and failures in the future :P
I think all in all she knows about 10 commands. But I will admit, she is still a little naughty quite often, but never destructive or causing damage. Perhaps I'll record something with all her skills and how we taught them 🤔
The problem here was mainly, that someone else didn't pick up their doggies business 🤣 We do actually feed Blue some veggies as part of her breakfast every morning. But pumpkin sounds interesting, we'll include it and see if she likes it 😀Thank you for the advice 😄
🤣🤣 Do you perhaps know if this is a normal thing for Schnauzers? As we often catch her watching TV. She especially loves watching other dog youtube shows 🐶
Of course. You are 100% correct. I unfortunately had to try and squeeze in as much as I can in the 60 second limit that youtube shorts allow. But thanks for the feedback! 😅 I will make another video highlighting the language differences in Switzerland too. (Since I know Standard or High German, is only learned on top of whatever the local dialect, region specific language is)
@@jessicaimhof2525 no problem at all! 😊 And I really appreciate the feedback. This was my first ever video I made like this, and in future I will make sure to try and think about all the perspectives more. :) I also remembered in hindsight that "DeepL" isn't just English to German, it supports many languages. But I unfortunately have not come across a translation app for the MANY (amazing) Swiss-German dialects 😅
Yes she is! We feel like it's still a long way to go, in terms of her training, but she's only 16 weeks... We also want to allow her to be a puppy for a bit too. 😀 at least once a week we try to take her somewhere new or to expand her world a little. Also thank you for watching our video 😀 we appreciate the support 🙂
We do too! My wife's folks has schnauzers too, so there really wasn't an option when it came to getting out own dog 🤣 Also, thank you for watching our video! We will be uploading more in the future if you are interested in seeing how Blue grows up 😀
To stop Blue from eating his poop, feed him green beans which will give off an offensive odor and your puppy will not eat his poop. Many years ago my Spitz puppy's veterinarian said to give him beans with his kibble and meat, and that worked.
Wow, did not know that. We'll definitely incorporate some green beans into her meals. We already give her a small amount of veggies with one of her meals so she is used to getting not just regular kibble.
She is! Some time has passed since that video, so the lashes are even longer... But she is due for her first haircut / groom in a few weeks. I hope she behaves 🤣🤣 Ps thank you for watching our video :)
We think so too 🥰 thank you for watching our video. I have another fun one planned for this weekend. (Just juggling the video editing with my day job & life 😅)
Yes :D We where actually thinking about that, but luckily where we live at the moment, we baby sit another doggie every few days, so she has a friend that comes over quite often :) Thank you for watching our video as well :)
