Thank you for this. Could you please go into more specific details regarding the Sporlan Y1236 and Sportlan Y825-2 oil psi differential valve? Setting them, adjusting them, troubleshooting?
Had an issue with a WIF the other day. System was flooding back crazy to the comp but wasn’t icing up Evap coil at all. U bends were completely clear of ice and so was the coil but suction line was frosted big time and compressor was solid ice. Superheat was at 0f and EEV was running wide open. Found the suction line temp sensor barely shorted and touching the drain pan heater, system is a reverse cycle hot gas defrost system with electric pan heater to assist. I’m going to swap out that sensor when I get it but have you ever seen a refrigeration system act like that?
I was always told.... "If it happens fast in refrigeration, it AINT GOOD." and by golly, in my 14 years it has NEVER been wrong..... So maybe next time.... Take your time.... This shit can kill ya...
*When adjusting pressures! I can't think of anything else this would apply to unless you're just concerned with milking the clock, I'm guessing the latter 🤔 😏 🙃 😉
@@SupermarketRefrigerationbut you recover to quickly then your accumulator is gonna freeze up and you'll have liquid refrigerant slowly boiling off... Correct?
Next time you can use a recovery machine to make it just a bit faster. I'm sure you'll figure out what system is best to pump into. This also helps with vapor pressure buildup when offline longer than expected.
You know man you are making all rack guys look like jokes. Use a damn vacuum pump. You wonder why that valve looks nasty when you take it apart. Your “purge” is a joke bud. You want to talk about how special you are in supermarkets. I’d can ya after watching these videos. Good luck
Great video appreciate it. Can you do a video explaining relays on hussman cases freezer cases more specifically I also get brain freezes on the easiest things 😂
I like your videos man. Im a industrial and commercial refrig tech up in Canada and I like watching the way you do things it’s cool to see the similarities and differences! Keep up the good work man!
@colejc makes sense. Ill use oil if it's readily available. But I'm not going to open a can of oil for 3 small gaskets. Plus nylog is made of refrigerant oil. I appreciate the input brother.
@@SupermarketRefrigeration In a pinch I just grab a lil bit from a nearby compressor from the oil pump access port. Any paper gaskets and rubber O rings just need a light coating of oil but not saturated it keeps it pliable and aids in sealing plus helps with releasing if disassembled in the future but never oil metal gaskets always install dry and make sure surfaces are dry.
I was just telling my self today I wish there was a video online that shows a break down on changing the guts on this valve. I got my rebuild kit today. For my A8 epr valve. Thank you for this video. I haven’t been an apprentice for racks so not much guidance. I got hired in-house and thrown to the wolves it’s been an interesting journey so far but. Appreciate your videos.
Commonly, techs would first go to a big company, learn as much as possible and get an in house job to get paid better and dont work your a** as much, most importantly dont give up and read your manuals, liked the video as well.
I suggest every new HVAC tech go and work with a supermarket refer company if only for a year. You gain so much knowledge. Do it when your young and have no responsibilities so you can devote yourself to work and learning.
I once got to see in the refrigeration room of a supermarket and now I know why I thought the compressors looked like little engines. They are basically similar design right down to having a head gasket.
