Have these on my home in NY for 30 years now. Getting my roof replaced and shopping around for replacement roof vents even though they still look good. What I found is everything I come across is inferior to this design. I just bought the exact large vent I have on my home now (634M) and it'll be sitting ready for the roofer to install next month. These are by far the best roof vents in quality and appearance on the the market. Soooooo glad I was able to get the exact replacement for my new roof! Times are changing for the worse and quick! Feeling very grateful it still exists!

Hey there! I have an HRV80T model that was installed on a new construction in 2022. Last winter (‘23-‘24) we had a nasty cold snap here in Alaska where we were at -40/-50s for a couple weeks straight. I noticed the unit hadn’t ran for a bit and saw the light was blinking red. After doing some digging it seems like the damper system had an issue. I’m looking at ordering a new one before this year gets colder and was wondering if there were any videos or guides you might have for replacing it. Thanks!

For the QTRN110 model. What the best way to replace the motor/fan? Do you know of a repair kit for these QTRN110 models? What I understand just the motor needs to be replaced on these things?
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, there is no upgrade kit for the QTRN110 at this time. The replacement fan assembly for your model is part number S97020971. This includes the motor, blower wheel and mounting plate assembled as one piece for a simpler repair.

The BKR60 has 2 different mounting plate so it is compatible with a wider variety of housings while the EC60KIT will work with select models with a housing measuring 81/16” x 7³/8”. Thank you for your question on the BKR60 video. This would not be compatible with the QTRN110 model. Unfortunately, there is no motor upgrade kit compatible with that unit at this time. Is there any harm in configuring the wrong Installation Configuration type? I noticed my unit was set to T4 for a long time. I'm not sure if that's correct. I changed the setting to T1 based on my own understanding of the manual. Should I contact a professional for help with this?

Hello Broan team, similar to one of the earlier comments our builder installed our ERV. They installed B150H75NT. We've had our challenges with our builder. There was no knowledge transfer on the unit. When I asked the contracted installer, they openly admit their lack of knowledge on the units they install. In our "attic" where all of the ductwork is located, etc I have noticed the fresh are to building duct from the ERV is venting into the "attic". It's not connected to anything in the attic. Additionally, we have vents throughout the living area (not the AC/heat vents) that do nothing. If they're ERV returns, there's no suction. I'm not confident of proper installation/configuration.

When i tried explainig more he cut me off and sais he didnt wat to hear it. WOW. no resolution, no courtesy. I train sales and service people you guys need direction with your support. Basically your sensors dow go below a certain relative humidity and turn on whenever AND they mafunction. Sad you think you would want to hear from a customer WITH FOUR FANS in 2 homes on each coast. Im not impressed at all.

I have the same unit and suddenly both the heater and the nightlight turn on when either of their switches is flipped. Any idea which part inside the unit I should replace to remedy this problem? I tried swapping out the 4-way switch, and I removed the unit for a good cleaning as seen in your video, but unfortunately no luck. Thanks for any suggestions!
Thank you for your question. It sounds like you have one of the switched leads connected to the common terminal of the switch and the hot lead to a switched terminal. Hi! The people working on my bathroom ceiling somehow lost the screw and acorn nut that attaches the reflector. The replacement part for a 679-LA is either out of stock or a ridiculously high price for one screw and nut. I don’t have the funds for a new unit. Mine works fine. How do I get access to even get a screw in that area! If you just tell me to call I’ll figure it out myself. I always do but just thought I’d try! Thank you.
Thank you for your question. The Grille Acorn nut for the 679L-A is a #10-24 and the stud/screw is a #10-24 x 3/4". You should be able to find this at your local hardware store if you are finding these parts out of stock online. I am unsure of your question on access to the area as the reflector should be installed with no bulb and there would be no obstruction to work around. Hold the top light button for 5 seconds within 3 minutes of powering the unit to pair. If your unit has an electrical "humming" noise call Nutone for a replacement head piece. Repeat pairing process 😎

thanks for you reply. Unfortunately it was no help. And I was told there is no way to reset the switch to factory reset. Hopefully the future products can come with reset button for the switch.

Great video. Thanks for sharing. One switch went bad and I used a switch from one bathroom and connected it to a bathroom where the switch is not working and now when I turn on the fan both bathroom fan turns on. I thought maybe turning off the circuit to one original bathroom might reset it but now when I turn it off in one bathroom the other bathroom turns on. Is there a way to reset the light switch or the fan?

Would love if the company had not discontinued this product just before I was about to buy it. This would have worked and functioned and even looked perfect. It is compatible with my model. Why was this discontinued?

What if the second wire in my wall doesn't have a red wire? I have 2 Romex cables, one main power and one extra for controlling the light on my old unit. None of my cables have a red wire. Just black, white and ground.
Thank you for your question regarding the 162. This unit would require two hot wires (one for the fan and one for the light bulb), your white or neutral wires, and a ground. The house wire colors may vary. Connect one black to the blue and the other black to red to run the fan and light separately. Connects all the white together and green to ground or bare wire. Thanks that helped. Ordered a new blower wheel for my QT140E-B. Any hints on installing that on the motor? Had to cut the last one off. It had separated at the bottom and was making a racket.

If your hood offers this, please press and hold the filter clean reminder light to reset the timer. Good Morning, Thank you for commenting. We do not recommend removing the fan blade on our units. We simply suggest taking the dusting attachment for the vacuum and knocking off the excess or, if you prefer, using a dry wash cloth to wipe the dust off of the motor and fan blade.
As for the wiring if you have a dual switch you can use a multimeter to check continuity with the leads. Use leads to touch each wire with plug to determine which black wire is fan and which one is for the light. (Lead goes in the plug) and use a 2 connector wago or wire nut to connect each broan black wire to black/ red wire on your 12/3 or 14/3.
