@@abductedchild I ordered a V2 based on the crushing tones of this demo - hoping I can get the same grind and aggression. I have multiple cabs to run with the Blackmore, greenback, V30/ Creamback, V30/Redback, All Redbacks etc
@@abductedchild Thanks dude, sounds fabulous ! I got a Rivera K-tré 120 which takes most of my playing time to the point that I forgot how awesome my KK800 is lol. Time to turn on that Marshall. Cheers from Morocco
Hey I saw you had your kk 2203 up for sale and I purchased one 2 months ago, fantastic amp! I am looking for something with an extra channel or two tho that has midi capability and still retains the Marshall goodness and this amp is perfect.. would you have this one up for grabs any time soon and if so what price?
Hey dude, this amp was borrowed from a friend so I actually don’t have it. Have you thought of a JVM? Those are great amps man, I have one for grabs with footswitch and a couple of mods, message me if interested! Cheers dude and thanks for watching!
@@abductedchild Hi, thx for responding. I do believe the JVM’s are great amps and very versatile but I’m looking for something that sounds a bit better as I already have three different Marshall heads(2203KK, 2000DSL, Randy Rhoads Superlead) which I really like because they capture a classic tone while still being aggressive. I am looking for a 6100 specifically because I like the tone better than every other Marshall and it also has midi capabilities of storing 128 sounds like my ADA MP1. I don’t feel it’s really a necessity tho because I’m only 16 years old and most of the gear is my father’s.
@@abductedchild thanks dude, your videos made me get the Kerry King.. bought for an absolute steal of $1600 at cash converters(guy didn’t know what he was selling).
I bought a tsl a couple years ago. Powerful amp but decided to have it updated with a new board and tubes etc…since it’s a 1999 build. Should be better than what it was when it was new and last another 30 years when I get it back. I guess when it was in production, there had been a few upgrades then the bias drift issue etc… Yours sounds great for just set at noon. What year is yours? My settings and setup consists of an eq pedal in the effects loop, an overdrive boost and noisegate in the front with amps effects loop knob all the way up. As for the Kemper - I think it’s impressive how close it captures the amps sound but only seems to lack that low end punch the tsl has. I’m actually tempted to get one now. Also, how does the tsl compare to the Kerry king amp?
Hey dude! Thanks for watching dude. My TSL100 is one of the last ones in production from October 2010. I agree the kemper was more brittle and lost punch, it could be due to the choice of power amp perhaps. There’s more to experiment like modeling the preamp section only and run it in the actual power amp of the TSL but the misses the point of having just the kemper! As for my settings, I was going guitar straight into the amp without pedals in front. The TSL is far superior in my opinion thicker sound, it covers classic and modern sounds and the Kerry king although it is a one channel it does plenty in the 800 league
Right on. Of all the amps I’ve bought, the tsl is the one I’m always gravitating to. I’ve sold all but two keeping a dsl100hr as a B rig with a preamp pedal in its return. TSL for the main A rig. Sounds brutal.
Beast of a tone! Found one here in Sweden for around 885 Euros with Z4 pedal, it's the V1 version without the noise gate, which one is yours? And is it worth it to aim for the V2 with the noise gate? I see lately online they started to have like a more black front grill version, also like the Artist Edition blackout I'm considering yet the Blackout in a demo I saw yesterday sounded a little different that the Silver Artist Edition, All in all great tone and hope to hear if you got experience about the Blackmore V1 and V2, Same also for Artist Edition Silver and Blackout. Cheers!
Hey dude, mine is v1 as well, to be honest I don’t miss not having the gate as I use the REVV g8, same with the fireball, the gate is completely off. Thanks a lot for watching, I’ll see if I can get the artist edition and put it through its paces. Cheers!
I got a V1 for €400 thanks to my local guitar shop. The noise gate is not worth it on the VAN, cause you'll want an external one anyways. I also highly recommend the Revv G8.
I believe Kerry also uses the Zakk Wylde overdrive (volume on pedal up all the way, tone at 1:00 and gain barely up) as a boost in the front if that’s the tone you’re going for.
I'm a big fan of the Custom. It has a lot of crunch, clarity, bite, harmonics, sustain, and a full, kicking, tight low end without sounding thuddy. I've been using them for almost four decades.
wow.. amazing job, this band is one of the most technical and one of the best bands, but very very underated at the same time. check my drum cover of their song deamon breed 🤘
Why does my multi watt sound nothing like this? I have to dime the presence and treble to sound anywhere near as crunchy. It’s really starting to concern me that something is wrong with the head or my recto cab. Both are used btw
Amp shootouts with impulse responses are IGNORANT....you are demoing the impulse response and the amp does NOT get through,,,get a real cab!!!!! (ALL YOUR AMPS SOUND THE SAME...is that the result you were going for,,,because they ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO ALL SOUND THE SAME AT ALL!!!!! (unless you are tone DEAF GLENN FRICKER OR AN ABSOLUTE IDIOT!!!)
