Just getting back to Nitro after a 15 year layoff. In watching and reading comments, if you are still watching, I have a few questions. What brand/part number is the roll cage, I need 2 of them. Also when you got your T-maxx running did you find the lean condition, lack of power, and lack of pulse to push the fuel? Did you try the reverse gear grease trick? If so did it work for you? Thanks!

Its unfortunate that Nitros dont have more power. They have a cool factor and are nostalgic for me anyway. They were hip when i was young. People laughed at the thought of an electric car vs nitro. But now they are getting revenge and then some. Nitro can compare to electric in anyway! And the simplicity of putting a new battery on and ripping. Vs constantly tuning and cleaning these nasty things. If u are a gear head. Ull love a nitro! However if u arent fascinated by the engineering that has went into making these engines. You will hate them and end up selling in a year or two.

same motor mount for the 2wd?

What I did was threw it in a glassbeader and blew it off with an airgun and it gave a nice sparkling texture so I gave it 4 to 5 coats of clear coat

Nice video. Those savox are like 10x better than the factory servo. Traxxas needs a deal with savox like they have with castle. Even if you only do one servo this is a highly suggested upgrade.

Broken engine mount is maybe why the bent clutch bell happend

i had the same problem twice with my transmission and i went through 2 reverse gears and all i did to fix it was gear grease red and tacky

I used this pipe for a while. Didn’t provide enough back pressure which sucked and had to run it crazy rich to keep temps down. Put the stock pipe back on.
