I wish there was more video footage of Kroetsch - reading - he was a wonderful reader of his work. It seems there is very little made it to the WEB of this amazing writer, poet, teacher & man. I started writing poetry in a class of his at University of Calgary - he imbued writing with mystery, intrigue, as thought-provoking, & something any of us could participate in. I would love to see videos of him. It seems he has disappeared into the musty corridors of literature past.
Here's some realistic feedback we got when our application was rejected "the average SSHRC Banting applicant has between 8-15 peer-reviewed publication." For our field, that would be about the same as an associate professor who wants to be considered for professor. And all this had to happen in the last three years. So the ideal candidate is someone who clearly has a CV ready for a tenure track position but has some mental block and decides to go for a post doc instead. It is clearly designed just for those who have been working in a research institute where every paper has a dozen names and you can tack on your student who has been working in your lab. If this isn't you, don't waste your time.
I'll believe it when I see it. I live in the US. I read an article at least a decade ago regarding personalized healthcare. It will never happen as there's too much money in keeping people sick. The current healthcare models failed decades ago yet we're repeatedly told the same nonsense. I have multiple autoimmune conditions. I'm sick - literally - of the way medicine is being done. We must stop throwing pills at illnesses and start focusing on nutrition and activity. People should be encouraged to grow their own food, be outside and be more active. But the way the world is going, this will never happen. Too many elites want to control the masses and again, there is too much profit from perpetual patients. Greed is driving the medical industry, not wellness.

People of color did not come from monkeys, nor did any human and we didn't come from ooze or bacteria, either! In fact bacteria are so complex that they still find ways to outsmart medicine. Evolutionary theory has to continually push back how many years things began because real science (observable and provable) continually disproves it.
