I have to pause, be back later but I already know I need the resistance sampler. I definitely stitch to escape/dissociate and you’re right- there needs to be a balance. 🖤
omg. I absolutely love all of your WIPs. They are all either already on my wishlist or I put them on while watching- could have paused to comment a zillion times 😂 Thank you so much for the shout out! Give Reba a kiss for me. 🖤
I love that you embrace the tears…it is so cleansing and pure. The bag making is going so well…I am trying too since I have so much fabric stash. Puppy enjoying the chew in the background is fabulous. “Because it’s fun”…yup, that is why I am a flosstuber too. Have a great July.🦉🧵🏖️
Catherine is our queen! Quilter and crafter extraordinaire. Will you two be participating in the Midsummer Stitch event? I think I'm going to sign up, there's a virtual room with Tiny Modernist and the Hathaway Stitchers and lots more.
Head Up will be really cute!!! On my goodness, needle danger is real. From the person who uses her couch as her pincushion 🙄😁 Hey, two people and a dog sounds like a retreat to me!!!
Thirza is looking good! The color array intimidates me a but but I have started it! You both have an interesting mix of projects. I haven't seen that Thistles one or that Ink Circles one. Or Quaker Gone Haunted- that looks like a fun one.
Beautiful finishes! Love the framed critters and the project bags! Oooh thay Cricket Collection finish is lovely too. Arbogast and Conrad are intriguing. That finish is stunning and so meaningful. Looking up that book now! A & C had an interesting eye pattern, I think it was them.
love your project bags. They are so well made. I am so glad that you are, or rather that I can watch a flosstube where people are being mindful of the planet when they make :) I think I only have 2 "project bags" which I bought for knitting, but I think my bags are nice, even of they are not technically project bags, ha! so many of your projects are not things I have seen before. But I am trying to not buy anything until I have finished some stuff so that is really good. Glad you are both back again! Hope your doggie improves every day, Catherine
well, I had to stop this to say yay for cardboard. How many fumes probably offgas from foam core and it's probably made from petroleum, So yay from me! Catherine
This channel is going to be fun to watch…so glad I accidentally found you. It is wonderful how varied the stitches can be and we can all appreciate each others work. Adult show and tell.
Oh this is fantastic! Shelby's here! Welcome to Flosstube Shelby! Love hearing from both of you together ❤️ Carlie, your Blue Flower piece is done! 🎉 It's beautiful. Shelby, love your chairs piece, it's so lovely. And your tarot finish is beautiful. And that chicken!!! So good. Goth Thirza is on my radar too, I want to stitch that one. Carlie, you "accidentally" found yourself at Hobby House?!? 😂 I think that's how we all end up at LNSs. What a fun episode! And thank you both for caring about tatreez and Palestine ❤️ Excited to see you both again !
So happy with this episode. very with you re DMC's response. and so many tatreez accounts to follow. Super lovely to meet your partner Shelby. Maybe she will continue to join? well done on your projects. Great first starts and finishes. I love your butterfly garden. Those fuchsias are lovely. I love your ink circles piece. The light was fine, we definitely could see you. I love the chairs by Beast or god. That is on the list now. I had to laugh, I used to think I was unique. haha, only a type :) all the projects are great. Glad to see you back and hope you come back together soon, if I think of a cool name I will let you know. I appreciate you being vocal about Palestine, Catherine
Hello! Awww - Reba, I feel ya ;-) I too am very upset by Genocide! Thank you for using your voices! So glad that Reba is healing well 🥰 Great stitching Shelby! Welcome to the cult - LOL! Happy Stitching to you both!
Carlie! It’s so great to see you back 😊 Awesome finishes. That Kain Kapal finish reminded me how much I liked that pattern. I have the red one too. I’m tempted to start that
Yay Carlie! Beautiful finishes. You picked the perfect gifts! And Kain Kapal 😍 Well that is just outstanding! Ok, just let me know when you want to start the next one and I'm in 🤪 Ok I'm going to look up that Primitive Hare freebie, it's precious! Loved hearing from you and can't wait to hear more. Have a good rest of the week and happy spring too Carlie!
Omg!!!! I have Scary Snowball in my stash!!! Ok maybe I'll start that one too. It's so cute! Whoa, Mill Hills! I love these visits with you ❤ Happy fall stitching! I can't wait for the next update!
Loving all your knits. The lace knitting is so pretty. The dark shades you've been knitting with are so lovely too. You're crocheting!!! Those blocks look great. I save yarn orts and use them as stuffing for other projects like little pillows or ornaments. Go you on getting rid of IG. I need to work myself up to that. Comments from you will be like old school letters now, I like that! Hope you are having a good end of winter / spring! Happy stitching!
I want to try to be more thoughtful about silk, too. Inspired by all of you thrifty, resourceful, thoughtful crafts consumers out there! I don't know much besides the basics on where silk comes from or how it's produced.
Wow Carlie, that wool sweater is just beautiful! Basket!!! How cool. It's ok that it's spiky. It still looks awesome and seems to fulfill its purpose. I'll be curious to see more of your punch needle if you continue with it. I'm loving hearing about all of these different creative possibilities with fibers! Dishcloths are very practical! So are smaller like face scrubbers. Yay, I was hoping to hear about some of your natural dying. That hanky scrap looks really pretty. Could you stitch on it? With like black or dark brown? That MKAL looks super cool. Cables are scary!!! Ohhh House of Christmas, wow! And I love that Santa. The snowshoes are so cute. Your Raffi tribute is darling! Love the blend on that, that's a neat touch. Yay crochet! I like hearing the stories that go with your tattoos! Where did you get your moth tee? I love it! Such a great catch-up Carlie!!! Can't wait to see what fiber fun you get into over the next few months!
Yay! It's so good to see your face! There is so much to talk about in this video! Firstly, I love that basket - what a cool project. The shawl - I agree about the colours but the over all style of that shawl is stunning! I hope you are able to come back around to it eventually! Congratulations on all your finishes! They are all so cute! I love these craft tattoos that you are getting! The style is so you and I love how relevant they are to your life! I look forward to seeing what you do over the next 3 months!
Hi Carlie good to see you. you have been so productive. Lo ve the tattoos and the hand earrings. Your grey jumper looks so great. I hope you have a lovely start to the year, Catherine
Hi Carlie Lovely to have you back. I love the linen and cotton top. I don't knit much in linen or cotton but I am going to try it! Great framing and your dye day sounded great. And artist residency where you get to hang out with your friends and do some dyeing sounds very lovely. Great stitching. Good luck with your 1 over 1. Catherine
Yay! Welcome back! I like this time-hopping method! I was super confused with your tank top at the beginning, like "girl it is freezing what are you doing??" but then I realized that was in July. Congratulations on all your finishes! They look good! It's so nice that you get to hang them on your walls! I really have to FFO more of mine.... Your knitting looks amazing. I love the ombre of the chunky grey sweater! It looks intentional. I'm looking forward to when you time hop again!
Omg this is just the best thing!!!! Carlie!!!!! I played you in the car on the way home but had to pull over so that I could see all this stitchy goodness! I love, love, love your finishes. Talavera is done!!! It's beautiful. Your Prairie Schooler is a fave. I love your pirates piece too! I started to watch that show and it slipped my mind, need to get back to it. Your fiber work is gorgeous as usual! A tank looks fun to make. Maybe easy too? Your sheep farm adventure sounds amazing!!! Dye vats 😍😍😍 sounds like a perfect way to spend the day. What an amazing catch up. I need to watch it again!!! Happy fall and can't wait to see your MKAL progress!
Back in the early 2000s, I gave a co-worker full permission to take my "brainchild" back to his coven to use (or not) as they saw fit. I never met any of the others, and have since moved (both figuratively and literally) far from there, so I have no idea if any of them have; in any way, adopted my "mantra". I'm not actually inclined toward any one religion at all... ("God came to the people and said, "I will give you the truth"... Satan came to the people and said, "I will organize it for you, and call it religion") However, every once in a while, I feel the pull to share it/pass it on, so; for the second time, I'm actually going to do that. I could be WAY off base, but I think that you may know a person or two who could/would appreciate my point of view. I don't know how long my private/introverted side will allow me to leave this "out there" so I may (at any time) decide to delete my own comment, but here's my mantra: Magic is my religion... Religion is what one believes in... Beliefs are thoughts... Thoughts are energy... and my energy is pure magic! Stay safe and stitch happy.
