Cromley and Salazar are not in cahoots. Cronley, like Warden Krieg is bonded with an Aetherial. Salazar is a head of a Cthonian cult - they fight the Aetherials and humans are considered by them to be mostly tainted due to the Aetherials so they kill them as well. Direni went to them after escaping the prison but found out they are insane so he asks the protqgonist yo destroy their cult hideout if you confront him with the evidence in Devils Crossing. Only after that, you discover that Direni worked with Cronly and used you to remove the Cthonian cult threat

I have the GOG version of Grim Dawn. I installed Grin Internals according to the instructions for the GOG version. The game then crashed the game - repeatedly. I uninstalled it and the game ran perfectly.
Arcanum Oil in Grim Dawn: I noticed that the stats on Arcanum Oil states a gain of 80% Lightning damage, 80% electrocute damage. Regarding this, thus the damage is 80%, but... of what? My weapons and ammo, nor any of my skills, do not do any lightning or electrical damage. So is the oil useless for me since +80% of nothing is still nothing? Or do I somehow gain an electrical power from the oil? Thanks for any explanation.
Just started playing due to the devs releasing an offline patch. As someone who started with the Battle Sister, I'm curious how the flamer Crusader stacks up against her. All I know is that fire is very OP and leaning into it is melting (hehe) the content. Still early game myself so I suspect that the higher survivability of the Crusader will make endgame less stressful but I figured that the greater risk will make it more exciting.
Library of runia monsters are entirely unreasonably powerful for no additional rewards. specifically in instances where your not playing a runia character but one meat to be balanced around normal slay the spire.
I'm pretty sure you are wrong about the middle skill in the AoE skilltree, since it says it only applies to skills with ATLEAST ONE SECOND cooldown, so your 3 and 4.
Been a while since I played GD myself, and your video made this trip down memory lane extremely enjoyable. Really appreciate you narrating all dialogues and following the lore as it unravels.
The two base potions, health and mana, are no longer in the game as of v.1.2. Instead they went a route similar to GGGs Path of Exile. Now you just have two buttons centered on the level counter on your status bar. They are also mapped to the E and R keys so you can just use your keyboard or click the two buttons on the status bar. This can be changed with keybindings, so I changed them to Q and R and I use E for the new third button between the two, the new evasion skill/ability. Unlike PoE these two potions are not attached to bottles of any kind and don't fill up with your combat actions actions; instead they now just have cooldowns. Once they're refilled you can use them again. This also applies to the evasion ability. The game is currently about to undergo another improvement with the pending release of the new expansion this year Fangs of Asterkarn which will add a new class, new factions, a new area and quests as well as new loot, etc. This is the best time to pick up Grim Dawn if you haven't already!
Easily one of the worst games Ive ever played. They have the worst level designs Ive ever seen, twist,deadends, mismanaged map. its trash. Not to mention how the game has mechanic after mechanic after mechanic on top of more mechanic. WAAAAAYYY too many stats to keep track of. Sorry if you like this trash you have no standards
