my favourite game of all time (: good to know theres still others, being in the last of us community in the last few years has felt so outcasting due to the loud hate on it.
@@Purtle Yeah, I know the feeling. But I’m here lmao. Actually at the time of writing this I’m playing through the game again, just finished Jackson. It’s too addictive
@Mighty-venom haha yeah awesome! ive been playing the new no return mode lots and it's so fun.. and my sister just started her playthrough of the game! hope she survives..
I've thought about this since I saw the series. Sure they can just do another song, but Future Days has such a strong connection to Joel and Ellie. I'm curious on how they're going to handle this in the show.
What about the shitty structure of the game? You play as Ellie first, then abruptly stop and play as Abby, going back to three days before Ellie's mission even begins. WTF? Because of that alone, this season and the next will be a complete shitshow (pun intended).
If there not doing Future Days (which they definitely ain’t at this point, idk) it would be kinda cool to see Joel sing an original song g or maybe even Nirvana, but I’m just biased because I love Nirvana Lol
I think the best course of action would’ve been to change the song, or (now that they have confirmed Future Days in the trailer) to pretend like Joel wrote it for Ellie. He wanted to be a musician for a majority of his life, I believe it’s not too far fetched that he would’ve written the song for Ellie after the hospital.
@@roz3z374 Now, sometimes these thoughts in my head speak so loud Every little thing that I think about Just builds on top of the pain and doubt Even though I wanna just let it out I try to act like I don't mind it, try to keep my mouth so quiet But sittin' there in my silence just seems to amplify it When I thought that keepin' this inside would make it better I never thought that I would end up ruining it forever But every time I think I got everything put back together I end up making more regrets, making more regrets
@@Mighty-venom I have never seen this tweet or video before, granted I never looked at it in depth. Though, even considering the announcement of the song on July, 19 2013, it’s still a little under ten years after Outbreak Day in the show. I’m really interested to see how they tackle this aspect, considering the tweets Neil Druckmann already made about the subject. Edit: I also reread your already posted comment discussing the common arguments made against your video. It’s an interesting thing to attempt to explain away, but I believe it’s better than Craig picking another song that flops compared to “Future Days”. Like you stated, it’s a simple oversight from the beginning of the show’s creation that they couldn’t take back. I think that specific Pearl Jam song (and Pearl Jam as a band) is the perfect choice for Joel, and I’m willing to overlook that plot hole to have that moment recreated.
@@roz3z374 yeah I’m excited to see how they handle it too, I’ve legit gotten so much flack from this video that I forgot that people can respond nicely lmao.
@@Mighty-venom As a long time Undertale fan, anytime someone provides a “hot take” on a popular, well-protected game it explodes negatively. It’s hard to not take the people who make those negative comments seriously. All opinions and theories are valid and should be heard. It’s nice to chat with someone that isn’t closed minded about the new aspects of the show. You did a great job on your video, and I’d love to watch more. This is my first introduction to your channel, thank you for being so kind!
who fucking cares. i'm not even gonna watch the video because i couldn't care less. honestly, i hope they put the song in the show just to piss people like you off. and your mic sucks
You good bruz? I’ve only seen your comment now, and it’s cool that you didn’t watch my video, but I did wanna thank you for commenting, because I love and appreciate you. Because you are a fantastic human being. And you just existing and commenting on this video has restored my faith in humanity again. Also my mic is complete horseshit at best, if you’re gonna insult it at least do it right. ❤
I think I might vomit and shit and throw up if Future Days is in The Last of Us season 2, it just would completely take me out of the story leave completely naked and vulnerable, and I will never be able to take art seriously again because of this shit (I'm joking, no one will care if that song is in the show 💀)
READ THIS PLEASE, LMAO : I know some people think this whole debate about Future Days in The Last of Us is overblown, but I believe it’s still worth discussing. When it comes to storytelling, even small details can have a big impact, especially when they affect key emotional moments. We should be able to have valid criticism about these things without getting too hostile. I know that doesn’t always happen online, but it’s good to remind ourselves to keep the conversation respectful. Yeah, I get that it seems like a small detail, but that doesn’t make it any less worth talking about. The song isn’t just some random thing-Future Days plays a key role in Joel and Ellie’s bond, so it’s weird for the show to change the timeline and throw the song’s origin out of sync. It’s not about expecting total realism (it’s a story about a fungal apocalypse, after all), but rather about maintaining the consistency and emotional weight that The Last of Us is known for. As for the argument that it could still be explained away as Joel’s own creation post-outbreak-that’s fair, but the thing is, there’s no indication that this is what the show is doing, which creates confusion for fans familiar with the timeline. It wouldn’t have been hard for the writers to tweak things to avoid this issue altogether. And yeah, Ellie and Dina talk about people making music during the outbreak in the game, but that’s more about future creativity, not rewriting the past. Bottom line: it’s not a ‘ruined the show’ deal, but it’s also not nothing. Little inconsistencies can matter when they affect key emotional beats. That’s all I was trying to point out. -Mv
I don’t either 🤷🏻♂️ but they most likely aren’t gonna use future days, they’re most probably gonna use Wonderwall, some Nirvana song, a different Pearl Jam Song or maybe just a Joel original. Nobody will know until the show comes out.
To be fair it's also noted in the show they changed the entirety of bills town so not using the song in the show wouldn't be *as* big of a deal as bills town, also TLOU2 was far from the best game ever made, that probably goes to TLOU1
@@Sgt-lott10 TLOU part 2 is ass, I’m obviously joking but I still think part 2 is way better. Also I’m not saying that it’s the biggest issue it’s just that it never needed to happen.
Yeah that was pretty much the entire premise of the video all I did was joke about this stupid joke like gripe while giving my thoughts on what season 2 looks like, cause it looks great.
No one cares, or rather the people that do are mostly obsessed haters that live on the tlou2 sub reddit and nitpick everything they can possibly think of.
@@Mighty-venom I believe you, you don’t come across as that type. Just saying I don’t think your gripe is vid worthy, and it might attract a very toxic element to your channel, since it seems you otherwise like the game and show.
@@MikeLee-z4z It attracted you and you seem pretty cool, it’s not really a gripe, it never was, I just wanted to point out how stupid it was and not do a reaction video like most people do nowadays, I’ve already gotten people who didn’t like the vid, I love the games and the show.
For what I've heard, they just used it in the trailer, the show will not have it. It's in the trailer so ppl can have a little bit of it without ruining the logical timeline xD
@@dudu_tuga_2002 you know what, if Joel starts singing All Apologies or On a Plain I’ll probably be even happier than if he sang Future Days. I was just thinking now that they might do Something in the Way, but that was used in TLOU Remastered Trailer so maybe 🤷
@@nxtalex10 I guess I just got lucky then cause I found this by myself, I found it on an earlier playthrough of the game. I just looked down from the wall before you go down the ladder and saw the chair on top of the roof. The footage in the short was from like my ninth or tenth playthrough, honestly can’t remember anymore they all blur together
It's my problem with some of these games. My OCD gets the better of me. I'm finally trying Grounded+ and I can't seem to understand that I don't have to clean the room, that I can just sneak by
I noticed it since the first time I played, I was hoping for a longer version of the song to be played further in the game but unfortunaly that didn't happened.
