I woke up today with the white cast!😭😭😭😭 I'm not giving up by washing it all tho. Hopefully spraying it with some water and adding some oils in the mix will help?
Potentially, yes! Fine strands respond well to protein treatments, and they're also film-forming humectants, meaning they attract and hold on to water from the atmosphere.
Thank you for responding to the request for a tutorial. It's amazing how well you've learned your hair and are able to style so uniquely. I hope to get to this level one day!
I notice that on your page you emphasize the importance of staying active, especially when it comes to hair health. What do you do to keep your scalp clean from sweat and grime caused by a workout? Do you just wash more often?
Great question! I do have a technique for this. You can see older iterations of it here on my channel, and I’m in the early stages of developing a product to address it as well. When I wrap my ends like you've done they have gotten matted and in knots. I think my problem is 1) not using moisturizer like you were doing and maybe 2) trying to unravel too quickly or not twisting the ends the same direction for ease of removal. Thx!
Where does African hair come from? I am not aware of any other animal that has that type of hair. Not even our closest evolutionary relatives in the animal kingdom among Apes and Monkeys.
I recently started my healthy natural hair journey and I've had some issues.I stopped using heat and I've tried bond building treatments but I still struggle with breakage, shedding, split ends & single strand knots😓I cut my ends but I feel like there's still damage.I don't know if I should just cut it short and start over? Please help do you have any advice for someone like me🤔
You’ve come to the right place! Would love to dive into all of this with you. Please send me an email: info@naturallyhighhair.com and I’ll take it from there. ✨
Girl I need answers. How do all long hair natural have this long, loose stretched twist out look? They wear it more often in videos than the mini twist they talk about lol. Does it only last a day or two in between washes? What about the ends in these loose long twist outs. My waist is above my waist from twists and I’ve been wanting to try out this look but I’m unsure
@@Des_. check my videos on “clumps” and maintaining them. Should answer your questions. As to the ends, you can monitor them, use flexi rods, flaxseed gel or dangling Bantu knots.

@@Divinenlyleadpriestess it does! There’s some preliminary research on it and it helps to reduce premature breakage in textured hair, making it equivalent to being in 80% humidity. Hi, I've just discovered your channel and you seem to know a lot about hair. The hair type system by André Walker doesn't seem to be scientific nor really standardized, e.g.: 1.) Why should "4a" and "4c" be coiled, while the size "4b" between them must be zig-zag-shaped? 2.) Why is there no zig-zag-shape around 3a to 3c? 3.) Which are the actual diameters (in mm or inch) of the various coil sizes, e.g. of 4c? Below which coil diameter is it "4c"? 4.) Shall the hair type be measured in its "shrunken" state or in a certain humidity? Do you know a better system?
Hey - see this paper De La Mettrie, R., Saint-Léger, D., Loussouarn, G., Garcel, A., Porter, C., & Langaney, A. (2007). Shape variability and classification of human hair: a worldwide approach. Human biology, 79(3), 265-281.
@@NaturallyHigh Oh wow! And there are actual, standardized curve diameters, measurement methods, etc...! I find it sad that the natural hair community is still using a flawed system without actual curve diameters. So people still have to argue what kind of hair type they really have. Thank you so much!
Yess I used to work next to a dirt road and I was so puzzled why my hair was itchy all the time. Jesus had to give me a whole dream to show me that it was because of all the dirt in the air within that area…. Now my hair is doing better since we’ve moved away
Can you make a video with more details about why you stopped steaming please? I have questions! So it that the same for steamers in the salon? Is it damaging to wear conditioner in the steam room at the gym after a workout or will it be okay as long as a hair is protected with a shower cap? Should we only deep condition with dry heat only (heat cap)? Any advice (Dos and Don'ts) for when using steam rooms? How does all of this apply to using saunas??? I think this would be a great idea for content too. No one else has covered this topic! Hope this gets your intellectual juices flowing!!! Much love to you😊😉🤗
Omg, I’m so distracted by how beautiful and fluffy your hair is, I have to go back and watch the video again. 😂 And I almost took out my plaits watching the video too, cause I miss the volume from my twists, but it would take too long now if I started that project since it’s evening time right now. I’ll just wash and deep condition for now. I caught a few tips but still have to rewatch lol 😆. Loving the bangs!!! 🤩🙌🏾
It’s hard for me to say definitively. Definitely possible but it depends on the clip, how your hair is and how you’re installing it. What makes you ask this in the first place?
@@NaturallyHigh in your video you stated that twirling hair can be damaging. I twirl my hair and then place the clip onto it. The clip is metal as I try to reduce my plastic use and wanted something long lasting.
@@NaturallyHighI need help. My hair grows really long however currently I just noticed my hair is falling out in the front. I'm older but I do take vitamin supplements. This slight balding is new with in a month. Idk what I did. I do know that trauma can cause loss. I had a minor surgery in July. I know the body can release hair after surgery but this is just in one area of my forehead. Help! I need to get it to grow back.
@@aquafina6544hey - sorry to hear this. It could be a number of different conditions. I’d love to help you get to the bottom of this and create a management plan - you were doing so well with your hair. Where are you based?
@@aquafina6544ah okay - would could do a virtual Trichology consultation but the outcome would be provisional as I wouldn’t be able to perform a scalp examination. I should still be able to narrow down the potential condition(s) and give you feasible next steps. Would you like to book?
