I provide weekly card making tutorials and introduction videos to help inspire you in your card making journey. I like to share a variety of techniques from mixed media to clean and simple with a dash of coloring.
So many great products in this release! And I love the way you ink blended and splattered on that pretty embossed panel! The stacked sentiments on that embossed card look great, too!
These are so gorgeous and I agree w/ you about fall being a great time of year. I love to make fall cards b/c I have a long time --- from Sept to Thanksgiving. With school back in session, if the event is right around the corner, then crafting = stress instead of crafting = fun. I ordered the pumpkin die and the Zero Waste plate using your link so I hope you're credited. Lori S in PA
Boy, that Pumpkin Pie and Firebrick inked background on the embossed image is gorgeous. Love that color combo. That one has to be my favorite today! It's amazing how your swatches match the ink on the lids. So many of my ink pads are not a perfect match to the swatches.
@Mindy Eggen Design • Mindy: The flower card is outstanding. I can understand how you would hesitate to cut it, but you turned it into 2 terrific cards. I'm also glad that you demonstrated a card with the geometric shapes. I saw the Altenew overview and couldn't really envision how to use it. Thanks to you, I can now. I'm glad you swatched out the new ink colors and took your time showing them. The Altenew overview went so fast that I couldn't really process them in my mind. I particularly like the blues and greens. Don't forget that Altenew has that basket die that is perfect for all year round, from today's pumpkins to spring flowers to summer vegetables. As usual, you created great cards and explained the products and techniques wonderfully well. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and creative vision. 👍
So cute! I bought the postage collage dies and the original stamps, and I'm starting to collect the various "seasons." Leave it whole, cut it apart... so many ways you can arrange things! BTW, I use eye glasses cleaner on my stencils often, and it, too, works great. It's not as strong as glass cleaner, and I sometimes will even give my stamps a little spritz of it to remove a stubborn spot. Tfs.
Rainy Sunday - recovering from 2nd shoulder surgery, church on line followed by Mindy, Mindy, Mindy the talented! Well if one needs to be somewhat limited in what crafty things they can do, surgery was on my right dominant side, watch Mindy, be inspired, laugh and learn. Okay works for me! - Thanks Mindy
Great card, Mindy! I love your choice of ink colors -- it gives a moody Halloween vibe. The postage collage products are a lot of fun and so versatile.
I have a question Mindy? Is the die and stencil the basic tools? I guess Is this the same basic die and stencil shapes that originated with the postage stamp origins with Waffle flower?
the die is the basic die you would need that was released a while back. The Spooktacular stencil is one of many that can be used to fill in the postage areas and this one is recently released. Hope that helps
