I'm 79 and my Dad was a huge fan of Paul Robeson, so as a little girl in the fifties I was familiar with his wonderful voice. Sanders of the River is very dated in it's philosophy of course, but whenever I hear this song I think of my Dad, who passed away 35 years ago in 1989 aged 79. My Dad sang in a choir so he appreciated a great singer. I'm glad we can still hear this, as well as Robeson's other recorded music. What a voice. 🤗

I read somewhere that Harry James and Helen Forrest were a romantic duo at one time, till Betty Grable arrived on the scene and hooked him into Holy Matrimony. Nothing lasts forever as even the Grable-James union bit the dust in the 60's.

Most of these were sadly demolished before I could visit them. What on Earth were the town planners thinking to destroy such iconic and often beautiful buildings?? Just hope and pray we get to keep The Woolton Cinema and The Abbey, in Old Swan - at least as buildings, but ideally for their intended purpose!! Thanks to those who care and appreciate these monumental, beautiful buildings!! 🙏

I so loved the single that as a 16 year old I flipped it to discover the B side was as good, if not better. Many years later, to my demise, I discovered that my conformation Parent (being Catholic) was my Uncle Bill Garragin, who had all of Don Estelle's albums. I know nobody cares but I want to put this down now as it means so much to me - and possibly my Uncle Bill and Auntie Agnus too. God bless them wherever they are...

I spent a week in the cells with Johnny in Benidorm in 1989, (all a big mix up in the end) He kept everyone’s spirits up (there were five of us) with all his gags and especially his insistence that we should all be laughing when any of the guards came to check on us . Top bloke , great fella , great memories .

Yeah I can read your mind, and I know your story I see what you're going through, yeah It's an uphill climb, and I'm feeling sorry But I know it will come to you, yeah Don't surrender, 'cause you can win In this thing called love When you want it the most There's no easy way out When you're ready to go And your heart's left in doubt Don't give up on your faith Love comes to those who believe it And that's the way it is When you question me for a simple answer I don't know what to say, no But it's plain to see, if you stick together You're gonna find the way, yeah So don't surrender, 'cause you can win In this thing called love When you want it the most There's no easy way out When you're ready to go And your heart's left in doubt Don't give up on your faith (don't give up on your faith) Love comes to those who believe it And that's the way it is That's the way it is When life is empty with no tomorrow And loneliness starts to call (loneliness starts to call) Baby, don't worry, forget your sorrow 'Cause love's gonna conquer it all, all When you want it the most There's no easy way out When you're ready to go And your heart's left in doubt Don't give up on your faith (don't give up on your faith) Love comes to those who believe it (And that's the way it is) uh-huh Don't give up on your faith (don't give up on your faith) Love comes to those who believe it (And) that's the way it is (yeah) That's the way it is (that's the way it is) That's the way it is, baby (that's the way it is) Don't give up on your faith (don't give up on your faith) Love comes to those who believe it And that's the way it is

Dogs really LIKE doing tricks. They are unlike other animals in this. when u see one of those DOLPHIN shows they may look like fun but those poor beings are only doing what they have to do because it all works on food deprivation and torture

Just Friends - Lyrics Just friends, lovers no more Just friends, but not like before To think of what we've been And not to kiss again Seems like pretending It isn't the ending Two friends drifting apart Two friends but one broken heart We loved, we laughed, we cried And suddenly love died The story ends and we're just friends 🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶 We loved, we laughed and we cried And suddenly love died The story ends and we're just friends Bob The Builder 👷
